Erin Suh well, at least they are doing something good to this world
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA 😂😂😂😂 I was going to comment something like that xD
LOL one day after watching twosetsviolin's video about "The Best Instrument", this video appeared on my recommendation 👍😂 I'm about to regret wasting my time to not learn more my recorder 😅
IKR 😂
lol
When you watch this after twoset being roasted
Same here. Can't stop laughing😂
hahaha same here
same HAHAHAHHAHAHAAHAHAHA
Yes!!!
yep , as always 😂
which camera angle should i choose? director: "Yes."
Such an overkill haha
Thanks for today's first good laugh. 😄
Where is the drone footage?
Indian tv dramas: yes
The Rob TV editor probably has only ever worked on MTV-style music videos. I kept expecting a vanity catwalk shot with a tired fashion show reference.
I've been showing this to my fourth and fifth grade classes to demonstrate that this instrument is, in fact, a legit musical instrument, not a little kid's noise-maker. Even though few of us will ever play at your level, your music inspires us with what is possible. Thanks so much for sharing it.
Here is another for your classes. It is more contemporary, but an amazing application of the instrument. If you watch close, he plays one recorder, then two at the same time, then flute, then back to recorder. th-cam.com/video/8DMEyQFWvqE/w-d-xo.html
Fantastic. Nice to see the recorder taken as a serious instrument... and played so well.
Richard Gregory thai si real talent
I mean after all, she does practise 40 hours a day and is basically the LingLing of recorder
Ling ling
It’s not a real instrument it’s a cheap plastic version of a flute
It's not a viola.
It seems as if she never breathed... enthralling
It's called circular breathing. It's a technique.
Don't you mean...*I N T E R E S T I N G*
the magic of circular breathing
Recorder takes barely any air and there's plenty of time between most of these phrases to breathe anyway
Don't you mean BREATHTAKING?
Saw her when she came to Canada....such a delightful concert. The tone she produces is like golden candy, so glimmery and sweet
Yes, I agree with that, but don't forget that the real genius behind everything is the composer: VIVALDI!!! What she does is remarkable, but she is simply following what is written beforehand.
@@jorgevillarreal4210Did we ask you to mansplain this? Don’t think so bellend. You must be so fun at parties
She makes it look so simple. Lovely.
WHEN DOES SHE BREATHE
She breathe with her nose and blow the recorder with her mouth, taht and probably having air sac somewhere in her body
I'm sorry, Ling Ling doesn't breathe
Stfu!
There’s specific phrases that she’s able to breathe in and sometimes when she can’t breathe in that specific phrase or at the end of a phrase she circular breathes
Circular breathing
Good Lord. That girl and her playing. Had no idea the recorder could be played like that.
It’s so sad that the recorder has this bad image because of kids having to learn it in school. This is pure perfection ❤️
You're right, it's pure perfection when it's played perfectly - but there are other reasons in the "adult" world: 1/ when you have a recorder player training 6 h/d on the next appartement... soon or late you'll think about committing a murderer - lol 2/ I have played in a baroque opera (Campra) with about 80 musicians & singers... and one single recorder : believe me (I have the record) you hear only the recorder!
PLEASE WHAT IS A RECORDER WHO OR WHAT I DONT UNDERSTAND
@@miss_B_ Recorder = flûte
@@miss_B_ the recorder is the wind instrument the person standing up is playing
@@itsametree6365 omg thanks for explaining, such a weird name?
3rd Movement-
Originally: "Allegro molto"
2020: "ROASTissimo"
Thank you, Ms. Horsch, for blessing my ears with this beautiful (yet quite technical and challenging) piece; though every time I watch this particular video, I must admit, I cannot help but to think of your magnificent sense of humor.
I think I can still smell Brett and Eddy smoldering to this day.
Did she practice 40 hours a day?
dhanang ernawan yeah she totally did hahah
That's impossible.
dhanang ernawan she practices 40.000000000000000000001 hours a day
Lol nope. Only ling ling can practice 40 hours a day
@@sudebayramoglu551 then how many days does she practice a day?
I like how her fingers are able to soar all over the place, and yet still work. I'm a clarinetist, and at least there, it's a big thing not to let your fingers fly like that unless you're naturally good at that.
unless your playing flight of the bumblebee at 15 notes a second
Trey Tillotson yup, and that one high note is gonna ruin it all
As a recorder player I’m constantly in trouble because my fingers soar all over the place. But, as you say, she manages to make it work even though her fingers are all over
Because the recorder is such a flexible instrument, keeping your fingers close to the tone holes has a great effect on the intonation (more so than on the clarinet)
P.s. I play clarinet and recorder(:
But aren't the key holes in the clarinet not only larger (meaning it's harder for your WHOLE FINGER to land on it properly if you're playing super fast) and secondly, perhaps the fact that you have to stretch your hands much more to reach all the keys on the clarinet?
I figure those two things would make what she's doing here difficult on the clarinet?
As a recorder player myself, I can't wrap my head around how difficult that piece is. Mindblowing.
Imagine having this girl in your elementary school recorder class
Here she is enjoying herself at 6 years of age. th-cam.com/video/kDRwBNP9uU4/w-d-xo.html
i was this girl in my elementary school recorder class
@@Altoclarinets lol
That is some of the best recorder playing ever. I've been playing recorder for 35 years and I'm not even close.
Congratulations for not giving up!
Holly shit, that’s still amazing tho
Dude don't be so humble, yes she is incredible, but I bet you are too, I'm a pianist of 13 years, no, I'm not a Concert pianist, but I'm good, just like a bet you are 😁🎹🎶🎼🎹🎶
99,99% are not in this level. Arpeggios with recorder must be hell!? And those chromatic descending thrills?
Amazing playing. I will try Twinkle twinkle ha ha...I am guitarist.
@@kipponi Awesome dude, I'm also a drummer,, used to be in a band, made a few albums and used to gig a few festivals and pubs,,hopefully joining another band soon,, I love nirvana,, but i also lv old school jungle and d and b,, but of course Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, telemann, etc,but I also adore the renaissance period like William Byrd, and tallis, etc I, do like the classical period, I actually have Beethoven's signature as a tattoo on my left hand above my palm, and Mozarts on top of my right hand,, but my main favourite periods the baroque period and renessaince,, anyway,,!!! I rambled on a bit there, I'm good at that, , stay safe dude, 🎶🎼🎶🎹🎹✌️
That smile at the beginning! Like she is thinking, "Look, I'm holding a little stick--want to see what I can do with it?" And then a brilliant explosion of virtuosity from an acoustic treasure box.
This woman is a legend. What a queen!!
simp
Ne není žádná legenda je to uplně jednoduché to zahrát hrál sem to v 4 ročníku
I think I just found LinLing's cousin, LungLung!
I almost passed out from lack of oxygen just watching this! lol
WOW!
I'm glad that atleast someone takes the recorder seriously. Who's idea was it to give a recorder to a bunch of little kids?!
It was forgottten, how to play it like in baroque time and some decades ago, one found out, how to master this instrument.
Mena Toda steiner
It was probably taken into schools because it's easy to get a sound out of it (although not a good one) and they are really cheap.
Lorenzo Pierotti true
Carl Orff's idea.
the only kid who took music classes in primary school seriously
Elementary school
DayTripper leave us alone please
She kinda looks like she belongs there still. She's so young.
@@skippymagrue She must be 21-22 now, as she was two classes above me. This was 5 years ago, so she was 16-17. Definitely not primary school.
@@roycastanon5754 it’s called primary in other parts of the world not named USA
The virtuosity of this lady is just astounding. Bravo!!
Wonderful Vivaldi interpretation...one of my favourite composers.
Practice 40 hours a day and one day you could be this amazing on the recorder. Like seriously. This is skill.
🤣
Ling Ling must be so proud of her
I appreciate the quality of this *not sacreligous* performance
Indescribable beauty
Indescribable feeling
Indescribable comfort
and something indescribable
I fortget to breath watching this
Interesting.
Isn't playing the flute like that sacrilegious?
Yes, I also wonder if she can play it slowly.
Kaitlin Knoll she better. Or else she can’t live in my neighbourhood.
Absolutely fantastic, having played the recorder this is on another planet. all the school kids practicing should be shown this vid.
Def!!!!
Einfach das BESTE ! Ich dein Fan !!
Finally! The best instrument gets the treatment it deserves! Love this.
❤❤❤❤❤
She is soooo gifted. I want to hear everything she plays.
practice.
@@randomgamer-te8op Both :) Though many people truly underestimate numbers of hours daily and weekly needed for achieving such level. She's so young too!
Thanks for turning the recorder into a serious instrument again
It has always been a serious instrument.
@@davidw1518 That’s definitely true, but if not for people like her the common notion that the recorder is only played poorly by 3rd graders would remain.
Who could possibly dislike this ???
Vivaldi is badass. Lucie is badass.
Breathing: Am I a joke to you?
Circular breathing
but did she get her black belt in recorder karate?
Nah she sucks
I think she's a level 80 player.
Ahhhh the nostalgia
i got to 2nd black belt and was on the special thing where i got to do
performances where the other people didn't
This comment is cringe for me sorry
Her heart will go on.
Danke, Lucie Horsch, you made my day!!!! Weiter so!
twosetviolin led me here. you are amazing Lucie
Wow!! I remember how playing the recorder back in highschool gave me some amount of peace😍. Bravo! Keep the recorder alive.
Oh, but I love the look on her face just before the music starts. Really a breathtaking performance.
It seems like a privilege to watch this. Outstandingly done!
If she can play it quickly, can she play it slowly?
Yes
Of course she can. She could probably play it backwards
they dont understand the memes lul
You have to rehershall it slow if you wanna play it fast.
To be or not to be.
For some reason, this really gives off a medieval time-period vibe
Well a recorder is an instrument from the medieval time
Kucing miu miu wait really? Idk why my mind is blown. I should
know this...
A lot of baroque composers like Bach and Vivaldi give off that vibe given when they composed.
It is a baroque. I would say that the middle part of this concerto is the most beautiful of the three parts.
The middle ages were long gone when this was composed the the Baroque period.
The Renaissance would be a link between the two periods, where the instruments are still more "rough around the edges" and it sounds a lot more "middle-agey" but you can already hear where it's going towards the Baroque.

Galway in the making. Brava.
Recorder gang going all-in on fire!
This was absolutely incredible. Breathing back and forth and hitting all the notes. Great job.
TwoSEEEEEET. What?
Can’t get enough of this arrangement. So much complexity and texture I’ve never heard in this piece before. I have a lot to learn. Thank you so much.
i cant breath!!!!!

One word, amazing.

I say as it is... This performance blew me away! Astonishing, brilliant, wonderful, full of emotions and life... I LOVE IT!
wow wow wow!! Wonderful.
Best Recorder Player Ever !!!
I am impressed. I've seen several recorder concertos, never got this moved. She makes it look just too easy to sound this beautifully.
Lucie Horsch is amazing!

Me: Yes. Finally, some good friggin talent.
The word 'VIRTUOSO' perfectly suites for her.
1:41 HOLY COW
I’m in love
My god she is beautiful, and outstanding on her soprano recorder, such a talent
I could never
TwoSet brought me here.
Thank you community for sharing these talents!
Excellent control of breathing and fingering. Vivaldi's compositions are complex and notoriously hard to perform. A good example is the Spring Allegro. For this piece, the opening and repeated theme is normally played by the string section, only then does woodwind comes in. But excellent performance!! Bravo!!!
It's actually even more impressive to see such a simple instrument able to do all of that. So good.
So beautiful :,)
Example of excellent breath control and breathing at the right times.
Wow. Came here after TwoSet and am blown away. I never thought of the recorder as a something like this, mostly thought it was for beginner musicians to learn or practice theory. Truly humbled and amazed. :)
Stellar performance! What precise technique. Sheer genius and talented. The hard work has paid off. Brava
Damn, I wish I found my purpose in 3rd grade music class 😢 👏
Her smile at the beginning yells 'I love this profession'. And rightfully so; this is pure beauty!

Ongelooflijk mooi.
I can't stop my tears with smile on my face !!! I've never had this happen to me !!! You are something else!
Lovely performance!
Damn, I learned the recorder before learning the flute and I am not even an intermediate player so this is just mind-blowing to me. The recorder can be so powerful. so good

Beautifulllll
Astonishing technique and musicality at her age here - 16? 17? - and an endless future of even greater accomplishments perhaps. (When does she breathe? Circular or cyclic breathing takes most people years to learn. Perhaps she has learned to breathe through her ears!) Can't wait to listen to more! Thanks for this posting! Wonderful!
I love this so much
WHA THE FUUU? HOW DOES SHE PLAY SO GOOD 😲😲😲😲😲😲
