Personally, I'm wildly theorizing that the beginnings of this being made was originally supposed to be a porn parody, I mean the look of the lackluster production value and the brief sexual references is random but would explain the awkwardness of this whole thing.
Also, credits to the creator(s) for being able to bring on two Saban era actors into this outrageous film.
When adi shankhar made that awful 5 minute film, i wrote a paper on why it was terrible and why it is culturally significant as a criticism of the film industry. When i met adi shankhar in 2018, he insisted in me showing him my essay. To my surprise, he loved my essay.

@@giabaonguyen8285 this at least looks like it could be called a fan film, while power/rangers seems like an overly gritty garbage project that was gonna be done regardless of what IP the creator decided upon.
Imagine this being the only live action version of power ranges! It was really bad. Rita Spinning was the worst.

Slow motion fight is popular, but not when you’re budget is low and you don’t know or care what you’re doing beside milking an intellectual property for profit a beloved one. Somehow, this is a very old movie that got new traction recently right around hasbro auctioning and selling out all their goods. If they ever want to pay tribute to older series they need to remake it from scratch since they won’t be able to reuse any scrap for new fusion parts.
Still waiting on Legend of the White Dragon. Hope that trumps this out of the water. When is it coming out BITS?
The actors and extra probably get paid a few hundred to a few k max to film this in under a week. It probably destroy their imdb filmography, but most likely it’s the lives of struggling actors or actors near the end of their respective career that needs a paycheck to get by. A lot of these low budget low quality b movies exist and it makes sharknado look fancy and epic.
Somehow if the parody trailer from a decade ago get made it’ll be just like this low budget fan made b movie. It remind those cash grab monster horror movie made because of a checklist then add a decent cover to it to trick audience or buyer like bootleg vhs and dvd from a flea market sale.
