Okay can we just stop for a minute and acknowledge the fact that we are watching HISTORY be made right in front of our eyes? This man will be talked about for generations to come...and we are the lucky generation to actually see it all unfold.
defgmx - YES. Kanye speaks in parables. You ask, and he starts telling a story, which at first doesn't seem relevant. Those who understand him, like this girl and Charlemagne, they keep shush, and give him the time he needs. It looks like he collects answers from a visual short film which he first downloads from his brain. During that silence, he wants no noise, it distracts and frustrates him. He's a good heart, like wife Kim.
Exactly! And he’s what we’re afraid to be bc we care too much about ppls oppinions and the perspective they have of us . We swallow our thoughts mean while he spits them.
Kanye won't be appreciated untill he's dead. In my opinion, he's one, if not the most talented artist hip hop has ever seen. There will never be another Kanye after Kanye... We all know Drake, J Cole & Kendrick are at the top. .. But Kanye's legacy isn't tainted. Swish coming soon ...

Agreed, KW doesn't help matters by his rampant egomania and nonsensical outpourings but his name will always be included in the RnR pantheon because love him or loath him he's charismatic, unique and has nerve and talent in abundance.

He's so right about how people will be highly skilled in the future. It's such an antiquated idea that we have to find one thing in life and be good at that only. Society is built off of the backs of the conformists, and I think Kanye realizes that and refuses to be another brick in someone else's building.

kanye is not human... he is way way far from our generation thats why people cant understand him he will always be my role model,I fvcking love this guy man
It's true that the way he expresses himself, "I am Michaelangelo" , "There's a new form of racism- classism" may sometimes come across as arrogant and snobbish but when you shed the thin outer layer you really start to see someone who is actually driving for justice in this world. He disapproves of racism and he faces adversity nonetheless pursuing his goals regardless. He disapproves of classim, he believes that if you have passion and talent for ART (and a lot of things) you should allow yourself to go for it. People do genuinely not give you a chance if you don't have a degree and although he respects degrees he doesn't believe it's fair to not be given a chance (personally I liked his collections). He always tries to go for what he wants and he (at least ) feels that people are always getting in his way and not giving him a fair chance. He IS emotional and he IS creative, quite frankly he has to be one of the only real ARTISTS.
Also he believes in being confident in your abilities and its that confidence that helped bring him here. Also... I am not a Kanye West fan, musically I mean...
Never been a huge fan of Kanye. Not because of his music or because his personality, it's just never clicked with me. However, I did have an opinion on him that was brought upon me based on social media, news, and tabloids. I thought of him as narcissistic and selfish. However, after watching this video I was able to grasp how he truly is. He creates what he wants. He is helping the future or at least trying. He is such an intellectual thinker. Truly want to meet him one day
+Shiloh Fairfax Towards the start, at about 2:30 - "What do you consider to be your greatest contribution to music, and your greatest contribution to creativity?"
I don't understand why people dislike him so much? Yeah he may be big headed and arrogant sometimes but he seems to be quite more soft spoken in interviews I have seen than I imagined him being. I dont get it
I think this interviewer did a really good job. She wasn't extra hype or cutting him off or throwing in her own opinion. She was just chill and listened. That's what makes this interview so good to me.
I swear to God I just ABSOLUTELY LOVVVEEE KANYE more than any other artist, he is hands down my favorite bc of his creativity, his music, his fashion, but most of all his ATTITUDE and everything that he says. He is very inspiring to me and his confidence is contagious. A TRUE CREATIVE GENIUS and such a revolutionary and he is the TRUE GOAT IN EVERY AREA….
The moment he said.. "I'm not gonna sit here and complain about the so-called issues I have ...that celeb shit, thats not real shit" 29:30 Got luv a brother for being grateful 100%
when he talks about how all his (celebrity) problems and how they actually dont really matter compared to people who cant even feed there children or keep them safe it really shows how smart of a person he is. Most celebritys act like there lives or show hard and that they go through so much and that there always being watched but kanye actually sees that his life could be a whole lot worse if he were poor and had nothing for his family. this man will be talked about 50 years from now
He said once:"if you are a Kanye fan you believe in yourself" and its absolutely true. Nothing he does is outrageous or "arrogant" to me, all he does is brave and inspiring. Hes a go and get it type of person. Wont stop until he gets his way. That scares most ppl, not his fans though.
Some of the points I really love in this: - He backtracks. On the question of if his fame helped him, he talked about what was difficult of the fame, but then he corrected the notion, because he acknowledges that fame clearly helped him. - "Not taking any free points." A lot of people would've given him props for a political message to the clothes, but if it wasn't part of his intention, he's not going to take those props if he really didn't mean it.
Next John Lennon With his on Unique Perception and Concept. Pity about Humans; We don't appreciated things until its all gone. Greatest Hip Hop artist and innovator of our generation.
Wow. This video was so insightful. I really think Kanye's family has the biggest impact on his adjustment and growth. He has had family members die, and it fueled something, and he had members born and it fueled something. His story is a very human one

You sir, can't think as fast as you type, so slow down on the hating and typing, bru
This interview was completely explicit, at the time it was created, up to now (2022), if ppl act as if they are confused or don’t understand his reasoning, you just not on his frequency, he was clearly expressed.
I've come to appreciate Kanye and his perception on life and how to live it a lot more after this interview. Thank you Lou, you selected the right questions to ask.
if that's true.. why does he not start his own record label that signs real talent ? why will he not create a charity that feeds hungry kids ? why does he just complain about everything and take no real action ? he has kim and lots of money.. what is his problem ?
karl nicholls You asked why he doesn't start his own record label. He did 13 years ago and it has signed tons of talent. Why is it on Kanye to do all of that? There are thousands of people with more money than him. Zuckerberg and Bill Gates should be doing more. Even Julia Louis Dreyfus is a multi billionaire. Kanye's not even close to being one and he's donated millions through charity over the years.
Kanye loves his daughter, even from way back then (2015). Even to this day, he is protective of his daughter. A little girl needs her father... just as a boy needs his mother.
Every genius has one thing in common... They give you their perception.. Every genius orchestrates their perception so perfectly.. anyone can see it.. That's the key to being understood... Giving your perception
I love this interview for so many reasons. But a big reason why is just how the interviewer lets Kanye sit in silence when he needs it. Most interviewers will try to interject through the silence to break the perceived awkwardness. But Kanye is just searching through his feelings in that silence. And several times in this interview after these long silences, Kanye ends up saying something very heartfelt and authentic.
This is why I look up to Kanye... He isn't afraid to look socially awkward or look stupid. This is what motivates me.... To not care what other people think about you. Just love yourself, that's all that matters.
I think whoever your top 5 is, whoever you think is the best lyricist, the best song maker or the best hip-hop artist period, you simply cannot deny that Kanye West is the most influential hip-hop artist ever.
i also feel like he sometimes struggles to describe how he thinks and his opinions without making what seem like odd or stupid remarks. i can kinda get what he's trying to say but it gets lost in translation so it means that it's easy to twist his words
To anyone that thinks this, it's MUCH easier to understand him when you watch interviews on 2x & 1.5x speed! (Use TH-cam options to your advantage!) ++ You get to watch a 2-hour interview in just like ~40 minutes!
Kanye, my brother, keep doing what you're doing. It really is about ideas, and people gonna keep laughing at you chopping down that tree asking for water because you have some of the best of them.
I totally get Kanye with his thoughts on the luxury of information. It's like when you talk to someone whether in person or not, to ask a question to get information and sometimes you don't even know the right questions to ask; depending on who you speak to, you come out knowing no more or less or knowing more or just getting what you wanted. The rarity is when you get that one that gives you what you wanted and more of what you didn't know even when you didn't ask or know to ask. That soul is appreciated.
Everyone should listen to this interview. This man speaks truth. He sees beyond the bullshit. I wish more people had that ability. Mad love and respect to Kanye West.
West. One of my greatest inspirations of all time. I'm in the process of starting up a shoe line of my own. When I hear this man, I feel motivated to do anything I put my mind to. Especially as a Black man. With my future success, I really hope could meet this man.
Yeah wasn't expecting him to think like this. Of course he slides into this narcissistic bullshit where I think he should calm down but the majority of things he said really made me think how misunderstood he is.
This was awesome!! It feels like (cuz I only recently discovered this interview) he had so much more to say at the end. Almost like he didn't want the interview to end because he was enjoying the opportunity to express himself... without fear or judgement. This interview definitely opened my eyes to who Kanye is... as opposed to how he is portrayed! Loved it!!!
This man is undeniably a genius. Such an inspiration. I hate how the media paints him as a villain when he's a hero. He could do so many great things but he's limited. He's labeled as just another angry rapper. He will be remembered amongst guys like Walt Disney, Shakespeare, Steve Jobs. At least I'll remember him in that light.
Kanye's got a roundabout way of speaking, he's just like a good friend mine who also does that. You need to be very attentive when he speaks to understand what he's trying to say. Got love for Kanye, and I highly respect him and his beautiful Wife Kim.
Interesting reference @ 3:15 "That's all going to change after Kim and I's lifetime." When speaking about bullying towards self creation/expression.. Two of the biggest celebrities of modern time, within a massive veil of their own, speaks of how we will go back to more 'spiritual times' almost.. Kanye is definitely on another level
Whoever this interviewer is.. I’ve watched many celeb interviews (unfortunately), and she is the Oprah of low key interviewers. She asks thoughtful questions, perfect to his personality. And as a result he is way open and less defensive. And I got to see the side that I love from him. Thank you Lou Stoppard.
"People's misunderstanding of me, is a misunderstanding of themselves" This is so true..
Everything he said is 100% true he speak's his mind and views the world similar to someone I very muched loved before he passed on this earth.

kanye is not human...
he is way way far from our generation thats why people cant understand him
he will always be my role model,I fvcking love this guy man
+Your Girl MCM I cant boy
He is influenced me to do what I want to do,so I can become rich,GTFO
+Stan Ye Once you make it about money...well you've already failed
+scholesy giggsy thank u
stfu
+scholesy giggsy that's a narrow way to view things.
its ashame that he isnt taken more seriously. he is one very intelligent human being. i am not a kanye fan at all. but i admire his creativity.
Kanye is Kanye. Everyone has its own individuality, or whatever you want to be so be it, just interested listening how they express their mind.
He was literally named the most influential person of this generation in time magazine…or was it people magazine idk which one
+Dércio Lichucha Reading this nonsense made me puke a little
+Dércio Lichucha have some self respect
Superspeed what are you talking about? I was expressing my opinion.
+Dércio Lichucha classim is classim... racism is racism... haha shhhh
when he said "sometimes I feel like i'm the only one one who's not crazy" my heart skipped a beat
"I feel like I'm the only one NOT pretending, I'm not outta control I'm just not in their control"
Truly want to meet him one day
That’s the problem people believe whatever the media tells them and don’t actually investigate for themselves
Thank you for asking my question, and thank you for your answer Kanye - means a lot to me
What was your question?
+Shiloh Fairfax Towards the start, at about 2:30 - "What do you consider to be your greatest contribution to music, and your greatest contribution to creativity?"
+Sam Hollis how did u even ask the question ??
+Young Toaster Submitted it on the SHOWstudio website a few days ago
I don't understand why people dislike him so much? Yeah he may be big headed and arrogant sometimes but he seems to be quite more soft spoken in interviews I have seen than I imagined him being. I dont get it
ayyy army...me too I don't get it tho
dmr bgs
yay yahhhh ARMY :D
I think this interviewer did a really good job. She wasn't extra hype or cutting him off or throwing in her own opinion. She was just chill and listened. That's what makes this interview so good to me.
Made me happy to see them grow more comfortable with each other as the interview went on
"I don't hope, I execute." 💯💯
I swear to God I just ABSOLUTELY LOVVVEEE KANYE more than any other artist, he is hands down my favorite bc of his creativity, his music, his fashion, but most of all his ATTITUDE and everything that he says. He is very inspiring to me and his confidence is contagious. A TRUE CREATIVE GENIUS and such a revolutionary and he is the TRUE GOAT IN EVERY AREA….
Kanye West interviews are my greatest source of inspiration
The moment he said.. "I'm not gonna sit here and complain about the so-called issues I have ...that celeb shit, thats not real shit" 29:30
Got luv a brother for being grateful 100%
.
when he talks about how all his (celebrity) problems and how they actually dont really matter compared to people who cant even feed there children or keep them safe it really shows how smart of a person he is. Most celebritys act like there lives or show hard and that they go through so much and that there always being watched but kanye actually sees that his life could be a whole lot worse if he were poor and had nothing for his family. this man will be talked about 50 years from now
This interview was so emotional for me. I'm crying while typing this. Thank you Kanye. I promise to do good by you.
Some of the points I really love in this:
- He backtracks.

+B Row Yes, he almost said that.
It's far out of context as well.
Watch the whole interview and try to understand him instead of laughing at him.
You can find the interview @SwaysUniverse. Just search for Kanye on the channel.
The thing with Kanye is that he can't speak as fast as he thinks, that's why he sound the way he does.
You sir, can't think as fast as you type, so slow down on the hating and typing, bru
This interview was completely explicit, at the time it was created, up to now (2022), if ppl act as if they are confused or don’t understand his reasoning, you just not on his frequency, he was clearly expressed.
I understand it more now, than the first time I watched it.
@@doneboyremo thats pure of you to admit that! 💯
When he gon' run for president people who havent seen his interviews gon' be shook
he really is a genius
this man is the definition of self confidence an inspiration 🤦🏽♂️🔥🙌🏽🤯
The more I hear and listen to Kanye speak the more I love him. He's so amazing, unique, and talented. His Christ is beautiful.
I've come to appreciate Kanye and his perception on life and how to live it a lot more after this interview. Thank you Lou, you selected the right questions to ask.
Wow, I love this interview. This interview shows the real side of him. He's 100% real and it's something that I appreciate! Great interview❤️
Everyone bashing at Kanye just be because his mentality is too far ahead into the future this man is smart, and I get why he acts why he acts
+Jordan O (Ponydigger9) lol I wouldn't put it past him ..but a lot of great artists have this
if that's true.. why does he not start his own record label that signs real talent ? why will he not create a charity that feeds hungry kids ? why does he just complain about everything and take no real action ? he has kim and lots of money.. what is his problem ?
karl nicholls You've never heard of his record label, GOOD Music, lol? Also his charity Donda.
Infinitify are you serious ? he buys houses that he doesn't even visit.. I blame everything on Kim
karl nicholls You asked why he doesn't start his own record label.
"Keep joking on the beach."
Love this line. Kanye has to be one of the most influential artists I have ever listened to.
"I appreciate everbody's opinion, but I refuse to have a lesser opinion about myself" DAMN!! You said it 'Ye!!!
25:59 The missing the bus story was utterly edifying...
How many opportunities have we missed due to lack of focus...
Man, this lady be doing some of the best interviews ever! how have i not heard bout SHOWstudio
That was such a great interview. I've never been a massive fan but starting to respect him more and more.
I love to see Ye when he’s being open and honesty and calm. This is when Ye is on top of his game…
Can’t believe I ever listened to anything the media had to say about this man.
i also feel like he sometimes struggles to describe how he thinks and his opinions without making what seem like odd or stupid remarks. i can kinda get what he's trying to say but it gets lost in translation so it means that it's easy to twist his words
udahhh I kinda agree with you
*yeah
ImK4Os A whisper can throw of his thought. He is more add than me after eating a bucket of sugar, and I am diagnosed with add.
To anyone that thinks this, it's MUCH easier to understand him when you watch interviews on 2x & 1.5x speed!
(Use TH-cam options to your advantage!)
++ You get to watch a 2-hour interview in just like ~40 minutes!
I sped volume to 1.25 and it was perfect. 1.5 or higher is a little too quick
LEGEND. The fact Kanye is still killing the game and pretty much is a new artist every time he drops an album is simply genius.
One of the best Discographies any genre.
Everyone should listen to this interview. This man speaks truth. He sees beyond the bullshit. I wish more people had that ability. Mad love and respect to Kanye West.
Can't imagine for someone to do this interview better than she did! Crazy!
I like this guy cos of the Prometheus reference

West. One of my greatest inspirations of all time. I'm in the process of starting up a shoe line of my own. When I hear this man, I feel motivated to do anything I put my mind to. Especially as a Black man. With my future success, I really hope could meet this man.
Michael Bowden 4 years later how the shoes coming along
This has actually changed the picture I had of Kanye.
Dr Verano I'm glad
Yeah wasn't expecting him to think like this. Of course he slides into this narcissistic bullshit where I think he should calm down but the majority of things he said really made me think how misunderstood he is.
just watched this before going to a job interview and felt so empowered
Got love for Kanye, and I highly respect him and his beautiful Wife Kim.
never saw this interviewer this calm and relaxed
yeah whats her name?
Interesting reference @ 3:15 "That's all going to change after Kim and I's lifetime." When speaking about bullying towards self creation/expression.. Two of the biggest celebrities of modern time, within a massive veil of their own, speaks of how we will go back to more 'spiritual times' almost.. Kanye is definitely on another level
500,000 views in 1 day shows kanyes impact
+Keithen Lewis He's like a car wreck...You cant look away.
Pewdiepie gets like 2mil in a day...chill

Ye is and will always be a genius. Appreciate him while we still have him.
KANYE is smart
Whoever this interviewer is.. I’ve watched many celeb interviews (unfortunately), and she is the Oprah of low key interviewers. She asks thoughtful questions, perfect to his personality. And as a result he is way open and less defensive. And I got to see the side that I love from him. Thank you Lou Stoppard.
