After 5 years I had a change in the cluster of calcifications to a 5mm mass plus an additional finding of echo focus on ultrasound they skipped the diagnostic mammogram the radiologist wanted to have me come back in 6 months to see if it changes 🤦🏻‍♀️ rated me birad 3 and now I’m having the diagnostic mammogram and seeing a surgeon for biopsy and the medical director of the hospital is investigating her

my 28 year old daughter had two ultrasounds and two mammograms, both read as bi rads 3 with a 1 cm mass with innumerable calcifications. After later finding out it was cancer all along what I find concerning about the birads3 category is she was cleared for a year which was a mistake. Also, if a birads 3 film is being read by general radiologist, the patient should be informed so they can take that film to a radiologist who specializes in breast films.

I wish I could have you read mine. Waiting another 3 months to get answers is excruciating.

My ultrasound report says my smaller mass is both oval and antiparallel. So that’s not actually possible?

I had a birads 2 but possibly 3 result on MRI for a 2cm mass . They are still keeping an eye on it. The fact that they wrote on the results 2 possibly 3 makes me worried.
