I created this slideshow to assist those who haven't done this procedure before. I KNOW THERE ARE THOSE WHO DO THINGS DIFFERENT.. this is how I do it. Your mileage may vary...lol Hope this helps someone.
Didn't think I could handle such an intricate job, but this video was perfectly put together, easy to follow, and gave me the confidence to do it! Thanks
Truly a memorable and top notch slideshow. Has saved my ass from paying a $500 marina job, not once but twice. Just mute the sound if you know what's good for you.
Thank you for posting this video. I just did my 2005 F150 and the video was the reason i could take this on. Looks like the last mechanic did it in 2015 as he had marked the "F" filter 2015. The annotations on the screen were great and I watched this video about 15 times.........
This video was really helpful. One thing though, the fuel filter above the VST, on my F150 and on the diagrams and the Service Manual, is facing the opposite direction. I went with the Service Manual (and my engine).
I noticed the same thing with the fuel filter above the VST on my 2004 F150. I also went with the orientation shown in the service manual and how the old filter was oriented on my engine.
This is a lot of work just to change a VST filter. Way easier with my Yamaha 200 HPDI. I heard Honda VST filters are easily accessible. I am not impressed with this design. Thanks for the instructive video.

You Dah man, thanks for putting this out there. This procedure worked on my 2004 Yamaha F150 for what its worth.

Wow, you put a great deal of work into this. It convinced me that this job is more than I want to do, for now. Thanks.
Great video, it was the only reason I took it on with my 2006 Yamaha F150.
Excelent Video, step by step, Helpfull.
Thanks a lot

Thanks for this. Do you know if a 2013 is the same procedure. I’m tempted to take this on with a 3 week wait from our local shop

I hear you buddy, I am not impressed with this design either.
What was the first filter you replaced?
Do you think this same procedure would work on a 2005 F250 TUR Yamaha four stroke?
Should this be similar to replacing vst filter on F70la
Hope it helped someone ...lol
