    I love this video! I got a node about 3 weeks ago with a small growth point and she already pushed out a leaf snd is doing really well. I bought her in coco couir and am wanting to transfer to leca as soon as she hardens off. I’m so in love with her and hope she gets big and beautiful really soon just like yours!!

    Great job on your BMF! Yours is doing significantly better than mine which is so extremely slow growing that I'm always wondering if I'm giving it too little or too much light. The problem might lie in a too dense aroid mix as you point out, I'll try something different on that recommendation, thanks for sharing your experience!

      @@kevin. I have a question about using leca. Do you know why the roots aren't supposed to sit in the nutrient solution? I have a few plants in leca but I don't understand how plants in water are any different than plants in leca. I want to transfer some soon, I'm just confused why the roots can't touch. Thanks😊

    • @kevin.
      @kevin.  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly, this is a highly debated thing. But ultimately, pathogens that cause root rot loved super wet areas and that's why people worry. Some plants are fine with it and some aren't. I've never had issues with this when monsteras do this except maybe my obliqua. Additives like rapid start and hydroguard helps protect these roots. I've just based this on my personal experience.

      @FinalFlameXD ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kevin. awesome thank you 😊 I recently acquired a lot of anthuriums and I've seen them thrive for you, and from research they don't like drying out which seems easiest to accomplish in semihydro. Maybe I'll try it on a less expensive plant first and see how it goes haha

    Hi, I want to start off by saying I absolutely love your videos. You're the reason why I got a Burle Marx flame and now they're one of my favorite plants. But my question is have had my Burle Marx flame propagating in water for some time and finally got a good root system and I want to switch it to Pon in a self-watering pot now, should I put the plant in the pon and not fill the reservoir for a week or two? Or should I put water in the reservoir? I don't want to kill this plant because it's been doing so good Thank you in advance for all your help and for your videos!

    Hi Kevin, Great Content Beautiful Burle Marx Flame!! ❤
    I just recently repotted my Cultured Seedling Burle Marx Flame in Pon with a wicked self watering pot!!
    * My question is, since Monsteras like to be somewhat dried before the next watering!! Should I let the water go completely dry in the Reservoir or should i Always have water in the Reservoir? By flushing the pon every 2 weeks? I'm confused on this and concern about root rot. So far shes been in Pon for a week and the Reservoir is still full not sure if shes actually drinking from the Reservoir yet... but she was definitely well rooted. Also should i feed her with every water flush change? Thank you in advance and hope you can help me with knowing how to water this little girl!!
    Also should I have the water below the Pon with only the Wick bringing up the water to the Pon? Or should the water somewhat be up within the Pon? Or does it matter?

    You gotta get off those expensive bottle hydroponics nutes. Try Jacks Nutrients, they're way cheaper but they're the standard in the horticulture industry. Also, hydroguard is just water. Learn scientific notation and then compare the number of bacterial colonies on the label with Tribus Original's label. There is also the eye test... One is just water, and one is so thick with bacteria it looks brown.
