The keyword here is INNOVATION. Mr. Lee has never stopped improving his line since it's appearance in 1995. The additions to THE WARRIOR meet the demands of MMA enthusiasts because Mr. Lee listens to his clients and his students input. It really is an outstanding tool.
Ever notice how people with nothing to show for themselves always have criticism for those who do? LeeChildInnovations, keep up the good work. Thanks for the video.
No one should be discriminating on a tool this guy is advertising because if you, yourself did martial arts, and had one of these then it would forsure help in the process of making you a deadly weapon ready for your next fight in the ring. So everyone please stop with the fuckin hate mail because, i think any true martial artist would love to have this warrior work out set.
Absolutely right! Nothing to add, except that you don´t "hit" the dummy. Push it to learn where you actually "stand". Or as you called it: to see what you need to fix.
I admire the intention. It's much, much better though when one understands the physics and tools, techniques for which the Wooden Man was created and can play it accordingly. That sounds crass to those who don't play Ving Tsun however it's disconcerting to see it slapped around by those who don't know the underlying science which refine the techniques of a physics-based kung fu. For those who've put in the effort to learn VT or Wing Chun this comment with make a lot of sense!
Surprised to hear some of those negative comments about this product based on the look. How about this piece of equipment when I was 15 years ago and I was impressed with it straight out of the box. Surprisingly it was a solid Construction. The advantage of the dummy came from its study durable base. I also wanted a dummy that I can hit from almost any angle and not have to rely on pads. That is definitely accomplished by a thin layer that surrounds the PVC pipe that is the main housing unit for the arms. If it's still around I recommended. Mine is just as good as when I first bought it. Of course for some people they may have an issue with the price point at the time it was $1,000. And some people can't justify spending that understandable. If you have a small business I would recommend. If not there's plenty of other dummies that run around $400. But at the time if I remember correctly I think most wooden dummies cost around that much to begin with.
moving around an inanimate dummy as if it were alive will train you to have false reflexes. The dummy is used for position, range, posture measurements...not used to try to intercept fists or feet since they do not move at all. there is no need to do quick movements to intercept a dead piece of wood sitting still. Finally, proper dummy training does not involve "hitting" the dummy. It involves engaging the dummy's structure & letting it resist into ur own structure to see what u need to fix.
this demo is mad old .My sifu's dummy was during this time, I got a second generation. The thirds and fourths are sick.Great product , but try to get a deal rather expensive.
hm first i thought sth like "typical shit from the us" then i realized that these guys seem to be from canada. dear canadians, you are europe's last hope for a thinking north american human being, plz don't fail us ;)
Wooden Dummy was invented so a practitioner could practice when alone, so what's the point of the people jumping around that thing when they can do chi sao together???!!!
Was this supposed to be a comedy sketch?? I'm confused. I do Wing Chun and what they were doing on the dummy was at best what my 3 year old nephew did over the weekend whne he came over to my house. :/
Amazing how far some will go to avoid hard contact sparring. You can beat up a dummy all day long and still get your ass handed to you on the street. No dummy or machine moves, acts or re-acts anything like a human. Total waste of money bullshit for the too scared to spar hard crowd. Wasters.
I have one for almost 20 years and it still in great shape thank you so much 🙏
