Who called the cold out, who called the rain out? This Southern Cali 🌞 Bro. I liked the start and don't stop until you are done but enjoying what you are doing.... 👍😎
Love hearing the oldies playing! Reminds me of the old KRTH 101 when they played the good stuff. Worked summers in my Dad's shop listening to oldies and working on cars. I liked his Costa Mesa shop better than the Irvine shop, too hot out there. Retired early last year, moving to Nebraska and am going to build some cars!!
Old skool cool love your work , was raised in so cal your style is timeless . You show with hard work you can make a beautiful car and mix time period correct and modern suspension and make a totaly driveable classic kustom . please keep the videos coming my friend.
Hey Christopher, what engine.. the other question is how much hp/torque do you think you have.. Something to always remember is this.. when you build a manual transmission always build it to handle 100 to 150hp/ft lbs of torque more than what you actually have..It will save you a lot of headaches and problems in the future. It will also last longer...
It's the 8ba in my club coupe so I'm not concerned about putting too much power into the trans. So far I found, by some crazy random chance, the one year t5 that's a world class with the old s10 mounting pattern and the 3" steel Mercury bellhousing and starter plate. I'm getting the Speedway adapter kit and I'm thinking I have a 9" flywheel/clutch, so I have a clutch disc and pressure plate in my Speedway cart but I'm gonna try and find a cheaper place to buy those. I found an oilite bushing on Summit with the exact inner diameter for the t5 but it needs to be turned down to fit the flathead flywheel. I'm also going with an s10 rear and driveshaft (hopefully I can find a 2-piece shaft).
@@ninja63639 OK.. if you're interested, try using the 2piece drive shaft setup from a 73-82 Chevy 4wd because they are more durable and also a lot easier to source.. yes you can use the 2pc shaft setup from an S10 but keep in mind that in order for it to work properly you need to use the 4wd automatic setup.. only reason is the drive shaft for the manual version w 4wd is just really weak.. the only thing that you are probably gonna need to change is the tail shaft yoke... But honestly I would consider looking for a 73-82 Chevy 4wd setup.. It will make things easier and stronger.. also consider the Astro van AWD 2pc setup
@@joshbuxton2783 Thanks man I'll definitely look into that driveshaft. I cool using a 1 piece shaft but if I can cut less of the rear seat bottom that would be good for sure
