You can cut bolts down yourself mate. If you screw a die of the right thread all the way past where you're going to cut it will restore the thread as you wind it off. If you lose too much thread you can cut some more going the other way. Great work on this
Volvo M45 /M46 / m47 are excellent gearboxes, their only drawback is that their ratios are designed for 4 cylinders engines coupled to low ratio rear endswith the objective to keep engine RPM at a comfortable regime when highway cruising so the first gear of the gearbox is very low ( 4.03 : 1 ) to give an acceptable initial acceleration
Thanks for the information. The rear axle is from a commercial pickup, and of course the wheel and tyre combination is really large. So I’m really interested to see how the combination performs. Thanks again! Scott
Man, you've got it going on, thats very cool, and 5 speed.
Yeah, I think it’ll be much more drivable. Cheers.

Hello, wonder if you would ever sell the special 125 green lambretta? What would you price it to?
Looking good, check out rat rods for Africa. He hand builds all his stuff and will give you some encouragement on this build.
