I do the same setup but instead of a swivel i use a bead for kids necklace to stop the weight.
Could you use a small split ring under that sinker instead of the swivel?

Why don’t you put the sinker with the pointed side down to get through the grass better?
When u pitch it out, stop the reel just before it starts falling downward and it will flip your bait down to get through better...with some practice

Add a bob stop above the knot on the swivel to protect that knot. Won’t loose any weights. Tungsten is expensive.
