Hey, Josh! I lost my Father in 1996. I was 36 years old. My Dad taught me everything about bass fishing. I was 5 years old when I started. I am 2 years older than him now when he passed 62! I haven't been skunked bass fishing in 3.5 years. He was the best Bass fisherman I ever saw! I have the taxidermy bass to prove it. A 10,9,8,7 and a 6. Also a 6 pd Small mouth. There were alot more that got thrown back. I miss him every day. But every time I go Bass fishing his teachings are with me. Today I caught 3 on a Loon Whopper Plopper 90 size. 12 on a 1/2 0z Original Z- Man chatterbait CHARTREUSE and White skirt with a White StrikeKing Swimbait trailer dyed with Spike it on the legs. Also caught 3 nice bass on a CHARTREUSE and Black skirted jig with a Yum Gray and Orange craw as a trailer. My Reel's are Quantum Smoke S3 PT KVD and Smoke HD Baitcaster's and Mitchell 300 and Shimano Syncopate 4000 series Spinning reels. Many different rod's for these reel's. What I am getting at is you will never forget your Father and his teaching. Keep them close to you! Remember his blood runs through your veins to this day and always. Good luck in the future! Awesome video editing etc. Ive fished 3 opens on the big O it can be the best day of fishing in your life or it can be the worst theres no it between 😂 first time i fished an open there i got 5 for 6 pounds 2nd time i zeroed third time i caught 27 the first day 8 on day 2 😂

That cold front made the canals a better spot keep then fish warm on the last day out there in that cold wind water cooled bass slowed down and the biggies set where they could stay warm while them young Dass were the niece ones that were getting caught. Little knowledge from a Florida bass man thats the way they work down here in the winter months
You said 7'4" moderate in your chatter rod. Looking at the line up of rods im assuming thats the 7'4" cranking rod? Its the only one I see in moderate action.
