We're in Mexico right now building a house for a family that needs a house. It will be next Sunday's episode becuase the channel is current now :) So we can't reply to comments tonight. Thanks for being here! See you next Sunday! 👍

Thank you for the new video. When you get to exploring southern Utah you should plan on going to Hurricane, UT and the Sand Hollow State Park. When there you might visit Matt at Winder Towing. That's the Matt from the YT channel "Matt's Off Road Recovery". He's a great guy and does awesome rescues with his yellow Jeep XJ whilst showing the beautiful countryside.

It would be awesome if you could include elevation. I can’t personally go too high due to lack of oxygen. Looked like a great work out hike and absolutely beautiful. Thanks for a great video. I’m always surprised how quickly the 1/2 hour goes by. Lol.

Hi Trish & Mark, Love your new rig, what a change. Just wanted to thank you for your videos and all I have learnt from watching them. We recently visited the States and took the plunge and hired a small motor home in LA. Our aim was to see the Grand Canyon. Over six days we travelled through Palm Springs, Joshua Tree National Park, Lake Havasu(fancy seeing London Bridge there!), Williams, Page then drove back to LA thru Las Vegas in one day. We had a great time. The scenery is amazing and I hope to get back there one day and see more such as Zion NP. Watching your videos gave me the confidence to try and it all went well. No disasters (although I did forget to close off the Black Tank valve a couple of times resulting in a bit of a mess - glad I got rubber gloves!) and we were very comfortable. Driving a larger vehicle on the other side of the road than I am used to was a challenge only occasionally wandering onto the left side of the road usually after a break or at the start of the day. So thanks again, looking forward to many more of your fun and informative videos. Michael, Geelong, Victoria, Australia.

Use a comforter over the electric blanket to trap the heat. Michigander here )

Better yet buy a heated mattress cover, 110 VAC, from Costco for when you're hooked up to shore power. It's like being 90 years old in a care home when you climb into bad at night.

I was there in the summer and there wasn’t a lot of people. Mind you it was back in 1977. This brings back some memories. We travelled the area in our VW Bug. with a pup tent and a small cooler. Some of the best memories in my life.

So I stumbled across you channel and I have not only been totally inspired but I am now formulating a plan on how to make this a reality for my family. I’ve been in a “rut” for some time now. 11yrs in my current career and it’s “good” but not “great” (the two enemies). We are a family of 4 and have been homeschooling for a few years already and travel quite a bit mostly bc my line of work. So in order for us to transition I would totally have to transform myself for a totally different career path but bc of your channel I am now exploring the very many possibilities that would allow my family to do something similar. Either way 1- I apologize for the long post 2- thank you guys so much for capturing this for us to see & 3- I now have my wife with me watching your channel and it’s been awesome! P.S. we are on season 1 episode 29 so it will be a while before we catch up to this video I just wanted to let you know we are coming up to speed and your family is inspiring our family in great ways!

Excellent, congratulations! I'm heavily paraphrasing, but Marc and Trish have given the advice (numerous times) to do whatever you can NOW (starting small, if necessary) to get out there NOW as opposed to putting it off until LATER when you can get your ultimate rig. All too often LATER never comes...

I have always loved your videos. I have learned so much from you and your family. I have to confess when I saw your new rig last week I felt sorry for Trish. After living in those beautiful trailers with full amenities, solar, enclosed bathrooms with showers and heat, and now this little tear drop without all of that. But I read your blog and you answered my questions. I am glad you are staying in your cabin and just going out for a few days at a time. You show me places I am not able to go, so beautiful. Camp on empty nesters. Thank you.

Having overlanded for a year in a small trailer we built, we had to learn all the things you are learning now. Two things which were awesome; trasharoo for garbage and 12v heater blanket between the mattress and sheet (turn on about 30min before bed and your bed is nice and toasty), then top the bed with a big thick down blanket!

If your going to plug in take a blower heater, we carry one if we do and an electric kettle, why use your gas if we are paying for campsites and also have a good wool blanket with weight and a good quality doona, no acrylic stuff too light to cold we discovered in the outback.
That was fantastic, your gonna love it. I've just discovered what we are going to get if we come to Canada and the States a Teardrop Off Roader and maybe a Jeep or something love it.

My parents (with us 5 kids) started in 1967 with a borrowed tent, then bought a 10’ x 18’ tent, then a 6 sleeper pop up, then an 8 sleeper pop up, then a 24’ travel trailer and now they’re on their 4th fifth wheel.
They are responsible for my love of camping and for passing that love of camping down to our 3 kids and 11 grandkids.
Dang glad my parents loved camping.

@@kgoss0369 our family started out in a tent too. Don't know size but we let kids sleep in one and us in another on church and recreational events. We enjoyed it as just my husband and I and I went with my brother, mom and nephews! That is where is found the love for it but just got out on the back burner for a while since sleeping on the ground was not fun as adults 😂. During our church and rec times meals where prepared for us but since our summer camping in our pop-up this past year that is all I want to do as for vacationing!!

@@MichaelBrown-kk6ck I used to do the same thing in my manual subaru that I towed my racecar with and all you got to do is use your right heal on the gas and toe on the brake it's hard to master. But I learned from heal toe shifting my racecar.

Words fail me to try to explain how much I enjoyed this episode. I have never done as many screen captures as I did on this video, 33 in all. This is absolutely my favorite place you have ever been and shared with us. I will explain sometime when we meet and have time to visit. I love and appreciate you guys, Paul from Texas. Side note; if I look on a map will I be able to find Kevin's Rest on that trail????

Angel's landing is such a great hike, spooky for sure, I get Trish's point, "Mark, sit down!" :-) Too funny. Winter option is a great idea. I love all the sharp design now going on in teardrop trailers, but I need that terlet in the rig...4 season comfort. Thanks, as always, for sharing.

Love Zion. We were there 1yr right before Christmas. Beautiful decorations to go with scenery. Almost no one there. So empty that when we drove thru tunnels we did a no-no: stopped & got out & took pictures thru tunnel windows. Can't imagine going during high season...way too many people for us. Jealous of your hike. Have bum knees so really enjoyed trail vicariously thru your eyes. Looking forward to more of your trail hikes in future YTs.

Sweet!!! I am glad that you finally got to hike Angel's Landing. I only heard of it the last summer while watching another video and Phew!!! It looks very intense but worthwhile for sure!!!! Keep on sharing!!!!

Angels Landing is an amazing hike. One thing to remember when hiking in the summer, even an early morning hike like I did is to bring gloves. Those chains get hot enough to burn hands and you need to be able to hang on.
Our hike was even more memorable in that there was a woman in her bridal gown having a professional photo shoot at the top. Her future husband carried her gown and a portable changing room to the top for her then went back down and up again to get the straps they forgot! Certainly not a sight you expect to see up there but nobody will ever forget those pictures.
I would do this hike again in a heartbeat.

WOW, great job with the cameras especially the drone footage. I’m not a fan of the cold and because of medical limitations I couldn’t do the hike so thanks for doing it for me…

I have to say that I think that is one of the best videos that you have ever made, accentuated by all of the fantastic drone footage. Loved seeing the snow against the red rock. Good music selection too.

You might want to consider getting a ball hitch lock if you plan on unhitching often just to reduce to possibility of somebody taking off with your trailer

Most unexpected comment: the Hi-lift jack that you frame in your forward view out of the Jeep, was literally made in my back yard by the Harrah family. The factory bought my 150 year-old house and made a parking lot when I moved a few years ago. I could literally hear and feel the huge punch presses chunking out the steel for the notches in the main rail:) Going to love this season guys.

Wow, the views are just beautiful! The hike looks amazing but not for the faint of heart though with the heights and drops. I guess one better be sure footed, have strong legs, and be in good shape! But how beautiful it was and so glad you guys took us along. Looks like this season is going to be very adventurous! Glad you guys got away for a bit on your own, even though I enjoy the kiddo's when they are on camera. You guys have the best kiddo's! Hugs, Brenda
