    No var in Miami is atrocious. Like Wiebe said, if Forsberg is planted just a bit differently that's a fucking season- and maybe career-ender. The definition of endangering the safety of a player, worse than a lot of the other reds this year

    Look it doesn't matter if players aren't protesting a yellow. That miami player left the ground with two feet, got nowhere NEAR the ball, and almost tore that guys ACL. That is the DEFINITION of a red card and that player should be suspended for more games as well. Why would Miami protest the call. I have never seen players rush to the referee to protest a card until AFTER it was shown. It also looks like Tori Penso was hesitant to pull out the card in the first place. MLS wants their big ticket games like Miami in the East and LAFC in the west to win. It is becoming more and more blatant. The favoritism the refs are showing has to stop. The dicsiplinary committee has to take action against these egregious fouls.

    • @johnmcgimpsey1825
      @johnmcgimpsey1825 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you've never sene players rush to protest an obvious card before it was shown, you haven't paid watched enough soccer - it happens all the time. There wasn't any hesitation to show a card. The WAS some hesitation to see whether there was going to be any follow-up. It's never necessary to rush showing a card, though sometimes it can help to calm a volatile situation. But everyone in the stadium knew that a card was coming, so being able to evaluate the situation (and probably think about card color) is appropriate in that situation. While I'd have leaned hard toward red, I don't think yellow is an obvious error, and it seems to me the caution accomplished its goal of settling the game - there were no more cards needed for the remainder of the match.

    • @ravijammalamadaka6029

      @@johnmcgimpsey1825 Tori Penso waited about 3 seconds to even begin moving her hand towards her pocket. That is hesitation. She moved her hands down, then waited a second, then moved them back up. Second, even if they didn't rush up to protest a card, it doesn't change the fact that its a red. There is no way that a tackle that is high, two footed, straight legged, and late should only be a yellow. Fosberg could have torn his ACL. If you think for a second that a yellow is enough for that then there are problems in your mind. Especially since this tackle is far worse then some other straight red worth tackles. Just admit that you are a miami fan and that the league is playing favorites.

  • @andrewdl6824
    @andrewdl6824 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Did you know the initial call on the field in Vancouver was not a handball? Please explain how you know for certain it hit the hand and not the body of the defender. Because the defender whose chest the ball bounced off didn't react like it hit Fafa's hand before. You're saying there is no way there was space between the ball and Fafa's hand in that freeze frame? You can see Fafa's hand behind the defender's back in the next frame like he got it out of the way. The arm doesn't bounce like it was hit. The ball took a deflection a few yards away, even if it grazed Fafa's fingertips as it hit the defender, the play was not impacted. I just don't see how he could take that goal off the board over a maybe.
    Regarding the other call in VC, a player's shoulders are never parallel with the body when reaching back to shoot. A defender can't tackle from behind just because a player turns their shoulders to shoot the ball. The way everyone is brushing it off, are they even going to use it as a training moment to better the rules?
    This was demoralizing for players and fans.
