I've been unemployed since last year and after applying for 20+ positions I finally got an interview invitation. So I was going through youtube finding interview tips because I really need this job and I stumbled across your channel. I watched your videos the day before my interview and even on the day of I played this video in the background while doing my makeup right before going to the interview. This morning I got a call saying that I got the job and my first day is in two weeks! I think I really owe you omg thank you so much!
I watched your videos for a week straight. Followed all of your advice. Got hired after first interview with recruiters. Didn’t even have to do any follow up interviews with hiring manager. Thank you for your help. Your videos were fun to watch. Loved the energy and passion.
I had my phone interview yesterday, my in person interview this morning and 2 hours later they offered me the job! Thank you so much for your advice and guidance! You’ve changed my life
I'm a 32 year old female and I landed an interview at a very big company, I never had this support or even had a guide to help me get through this and have really good questions at the end. Thank you, I honestly appreciate it.
Just wanted to say thank you for your videos. I just got a job and the person who interviewed me said he hadn’t had an interview like mine in years and was blown away by how he interview was so informative and he felt like two friends talking. Thanks so much for your advice and it truly worked wonders and I managed to get a little more pay as well.
I had my interview yesterday and they absolutely loved it, so much so that they said “I wish we could have you start now, we think you’re gonna be the best fit for us” THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU !!!!
Hi. I used some of the strategies you talked about and feel good about my interview a few hours ago. I really like "the back and forth" conversation as you suggested. Thanks again. Update: I got the job!
So, I wanted to let you know that I got the job using several of your tips. I asked the question at the end: What concerns do you have that would keep you from the offering me the job? The answer was, "I don't have any," then something along the lines of "We would love to have you work for us..." Thank you for the great tips!
On the importance of asking questions. I had an initial interview with a company I am excited about and after 5 minutes they asked me if I had any questions even though it was scheduled for 30 minutes. Fortunate that I had prepared ~20 questions before the interview. It went very well, and I am doing my second round 2.5 hr panel interview tomorrow. I know if I had said "no I don't have any questions" the likelihood I would be called back is pretty low even though I am a good fit for this position I think. Thanks for stressing the importance of questions! I am particularly grateful for the question "What is the structure of the team like?", the answer to this actually made me understand what the job is.
@@SelfMadeMillennial it was nerve racking and the boss wanted us to raise our hands when we wanted to speak. I had the most experience from the other girls so i felt confident. Which made her always look at me after every question even when i didnt have my hand rasied. I practiced the questions that i could get asked and scenarios where i demonstrated a specific quality. I had bullet points just incase i forgot anything. Coming prepared made a huge difference.
I watched a bunch of your videos, especially your "Tell me about yourself" video, and just got my dream gig at an academic library! Thank you so much for doing what you do!
I just want to let everyone know that these skills and others she teaches still work in 2021! I found her on TH-cam randomly. Anyway, I had an interview on May 10th and I got the job offer the following Tuesday! Thank you for your tips! Follow her tips to the tee (the best way you can in your own style). Here are the other videos I watched from her that helped me prepare for the interview. Five questions to ask during the phone interview (4:53 long video) Why should we hire you (4:24 long video) Tell me about yourself (11:28 long video) And if you’re going into a Leadership Role watch How to answer what is your leadership style (9:15 long video) Also watch her videos about follow up as well. Thank you again for this knowledge Self-Made millennial! People think this stuff doesn’t work, but it does!
Madeline, I wanted to thank your channel for the amazing videos. I just finished my master's and will be starting a job next week in an organization I dreamt of working for a few years. I had around 7 years of experience then I took a break for my master's and was on the search for a job, that matched my experience and expertise. When I got the call for an interview, I was quite nervous, to be honest. About 5-6 days before the interview, I started scouring through your channel and watched multiple videos, which helped me a lot. I prepared answers to questions, specifically as per your suggestions and some other websites as well. I prepared questions for the interviewers at the end, again seeing your video. I nailed the interview, thanks to the multiple videos from this channel! Keep doing what you're doing! You rock. My prayers and heartfelt thanks to you.
Just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for all you do. Spent the week leading up to my interview binge watching all your vids and a phone interview, second and third interview later, I got the job!

I've been searching for a new job for over 2 years now and the few interviews I've had I got terrible recruiters who wouldn't give me any time to speak, they never asked me the "tell me about yourself" question or really any questions about my experience they just tell me about the job and ask a question or two then immediately end the interview with me not able to get a word in and their tone sounds like they are bored, their sighing, and don't want to be there.
