This approach creates schnitzels with the most delicious and thick crust. But juicy chicken in the middle.

Sourdough bread crumb is a game changer. I slice mine and toast it is the oven, let it cool blend it up add garlic powder and mixed herbs 🌿 I just freeze mine ready to go whenever. Oh I also add some butter in with the oil makes it go golden cook it really slow I find works on low

Mashed spuds, corn on the cob, peas, carrots and gravy. 😋
I sometimes leave them thicker, then after frying, turn it into chicken parmi using spaghetti bolagnaise sauce and grated cheese in the oven til cheese is melted and gold brown. Yum yum.
Such a wonderful way to make them 👌 I have never tried spag bog sauce as part of a parma. But oh my goodness that sounds good 😋

With the crumb being drier when it goes in the oil, it makes for a wonderful coating 😀 I hope you enjoy it as much as we do 😀

@@Bush_Edge_Homesteading_Aus I did prepare them. I had to use a rolling pin because I didn’t have a meat tenderiser, that was like therapy 😂 I added the herbs and some nutritional yeast to the gluten free breadcrumbs. I’ll cook them tomorrow 😋

I brush the chicken snittys with yoghurt then crumb with panko crumbs. No need for the messy flour, egg breadcrumbs, and saves on eggs too.

I place my chicken in between a folded piece of baking paper so my board doesn’t get raw chicken on it.
