@@aayushbansal3383 Mangal pandey is consider to person who started 1857 revolt or inspired for that, but there was independence struggle from long ago but it was at small scale in various village.
Brits never let this freedom struggle reach across India.
Even brits tried to brainwash people after 1857 revolt, and tried to hide 1857 revolt.
But then Veer savarkar wrote a book on 1857 war of independence, that was banned by brits, but somehow it got published in foreign land I think it was in netherland.
This book was later transported to India secretly and reached freedom fighters like Shaheed Bhagat singh, rash behari, Netaji Bose, who published it in different languages.

Kangana is literally people's actress!She had a meteoric rise after the movie Queen. But what seperates Kangana is her struggle. She came from a very small village and had no godfathers. Also her parents were against her as they didn't know much about Bollywood and Bombay. So she had practically no food,shelter etc.She is a Lone Wolf.She doesn't follow stereotypes like working with Khans,Kapoors etc.,does independent female centric film and even gets commercial as well as critical success.Jaby u should know more about her !And u will amazed to see how much she was neglected by Bollywood.If the people didn't have a say and she didn't have determination,we would have lost a star.She is the literal "Queen of Bollywood". When Rani Laxmibai was fatally wounded in the end, she asked an ascetic for water and place to rest. The ascetic complied and gave her his hut to rest and some gangajal to drink. Seeing her death is near, she asked the ascetic to set fire to the hut. So, that the British will never be able to lay their hands on her corpse. Thus, she immolated herself into the glory of Rani Padmavati and the British failed in their goal to catch and execute her. She died with pride while the EIC went bankrupt.

belonging to the same city of Jhansi, the love for the Queen Laxmibai runs in our veins. Yes she used to carry her baby during battle. Not just her, this battle saw other great warriors of Jhansi like Tantiya Tope, Rani Jhalkaribai etc.
I as a Sikh I also have a great respect of Rani Lakshmibai for fighting against the British Empire while on her horse Badal and while having her adopted son strapped to her knowing that she was the last Queen of Jhansi. Rani Lakshmibai ki Jai!!

I know Jaby doesn't like singing during intense scenes but again, songs and poetry were a huge part of India's freedom struggle, so it makes sense to us as it is exactly how things happened in real life too. Freedom fighters would use songs and poetry to encourage others. Performing arts played a huge role until we had enough numbers and weapons to fight.
War cries and galant battle stories began way back in history like from Europe to China ! .. But yea it gives a good morale boost to get u battle ready .

I'm from Jhansi.. and its a must watch movie and she is my all time inspiration.. I had goosebumps seeing the last scene... she was the greatest warriors of all time..
I dressed up as jhansi ki rani in fancy dress competition several times when I was kid.. a banarsi sari, a sword and my baby doll on my back .😊

Kangana totally called out Karan for launching his brigade of nepotistic talentless duds on KWK. And boy was he seething and went on defensive in every interview and award show after that. Also remember how bollywood collectively bashed and bad mouthed Kangana just coz she was an outsider and wasnt as fluent in English as the wannabe angrez star brigade of Bollyland.Ayushmaan did the same with Karan on a recent episode of Koffee. Those who call Kangana delusional or schizophrenic must understand that bollywood is as strong as a mafia group and some times they may gang up to make it seem like the outsider is the odd one out. You may not understand how their money and power together has the ability to manipulate the media and the judiciary. So what comes out in front of you may not be the actual truth .

Jaby please watch Kangana Ranaut's "Tanu weds manu returns" movie. She played two poles apart characters with such a perfection. I'm sure you will be more amazed by her phenomenal acting skills after watching that movie.

Manikarnika is more popularly known as Rani Laxmibai or Jhansi ki Rani in India. She is our childhood hero. Every Indian history textbook has her heroic story in the 1857 uprising.
She is a queen of jhansi , a city in india .... she fought yhe britishers to rrclaim the rights of her people and her land .... and yess she actually went to fight with her baby on her back ... her son due to doctrine of lapse was not given the right of his land .... she is our national fighter and hero .....

She went with the baby in her last battle because she was trying to escape from the fort that the British had laid siege to. They managed to get past the British lines but she got badly injured in the process and later died. She is an icon of the women power in the rebellion of 1857 and usually portrayed as a warrior on a horseback charging into the battlefield with the baby tied in the back.

I remember seeing a tv series of " Jhansi ki rani " it was one of the best memories of my childhood it came in 2008/9 but I loved the show in spite of the ending not being that good

The queen of Jhansi was one of the prettiest, strongest, courageous queen who died in a war battle against British East India company. She went in a war with a baby ties at her back. During the war one of her eye got damaged but she fought fiercely and escaped and eventually saved her baby - Damodar Rao ..before succumbs to death

During those time, East India company used to take over those kingdom where the king don't have an heir and women are not considered to fight in battle. Laxmibai tied her kid for the fight signifying that the future king is in the battle and she is fighting on his behalf...

There is the place that is marked in the jhansi palace from where the queen jumped with her baby on the back. :-)It at 100 ft that is 30 mtrs... And she survived :-)
It is based on queen of Jhansi who died fighting against British while protecting hereditary rights for his child and even took him to the battle.(Revolt of 1857)
I was goining to cry as an indian and an curious of my own rich history I know she was one of the main leaders who fought British Raj ( rule ) and one of the queen who gave their life for my country .........I know the words they sang in the video the situation of the Indians during the time ...there are many queens and lady leaders in the indian history of india ..I know that I know the struggle .

One thing is for sure that Rani Luxmibai was ambidextrous and was fully capable in yielding two swords at once, with equal effectivity!
Seriously, I read a witness's(Brit) count of her fighting in the war, the description was that she was very proficient and brave, she was and her people were handling 3 brits on one. She could have been alive for longer only if her horse had not given up on her when she tried to jump a small canal/ditch, that is when brits caught up to her and injured her on the forehead, she still managed to escape to a nearby temple and asked the priest to not let the Brits get her body and her pyre was burnt before they could arrive at the temple. I had no idea she was that good until I read all this.
