Oh dear, guaranteed when you have your jeans inside out a delivery man will come to the door. I love the jacket you were wearing, you are so clever. What an amazing cake, anyone that sews would love that. I'm looking forward to seeing what you make with all your purchases.
hi Julie. Yep I'm late to the party... been the theme this week! The thought of you trying to be all cool calm and collected while you stood in your doorway with your knickers and jeans stitched together and wearing the Jeans inside out is awesome. AND you didn't miss the delivery! Who says sewists don't have fun! Great fabric, especially the cream knit and the animal print. Tell your husband that we girls need AT LEAST seven full length coats, seven mid length coats and seven coatigans/dusters etc. That way we can rotate them through the week and save money on dry cleaning. Oh and you could also say that you need to have a range of colours and fabrics for different seasons.🤣 I love hearing about the various sewing socials that happen around the UK. They sound amazing. Talking, sewing and having fun with sewing kindred spirits. 35 degrees here to day (Sunday) in Melbourne Australia and 38 predicted for tomorrow... then a cool change...Welcome to Melbourne! Have a great week and see you next vlog😎🦤🦤🌡🏖
I will let Chris know your thoughts on coat’s which I fully concur 👍 We are hanging out for a weather change and a glimpse of spring, it’s been a very cold and wet week 🤷♀️😍
I don’t know how I’ve only just found out about Knighton Fabrics! I wish I had a enough willpower to resist the temptation but lovely fabrics haunt me if I don’t invite them into my sewing room 😵💫🫣
@@Julie_sews_her_own_clothes it is just so addictive isn't it?! Made worse by watching fabric haul blogs 😂 I am trying to save up for the stitch festival 🤩
Oh Julie, you gave me such a great chuckle!! I could visualize you in a panic with your jeans stitched to your undies. I needed the laugh, thank you. A truly great vlog today, I look forward to your next one. Have a great week.
You make some gorgeous garments Julie … and that turquoise patterned fabric is just beautiful. I look forward to seeing your finished blouse. 👍 I’m determined to sew a significant amount of my stash this year so buying any fabric is banned for me. Your cream knit fabric outfit plan is making that especially hard!! Lovely idea for a smart outfit though. Good luck. 😄
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a message. I’m so pleased you found my channel and enjoyed watching. The jeans collab will be revealed at the weekend…I think they were worth the moments of panic 😁🥰
Hey Jules, awesome to see your face again… OMG I adore the blue roses…. I want I want I want… so going to look at the menerva page…I do love the cream fabric, would look gorgeous in an Embrace cardigan from Pattern Emporium. Ohhh yuz… nice puffer…. Dude you need as many coats as you want!!!!! I have tones… chilly Willy in Wellers… That cake you got Sam is adorable… I love your bomber jacket you’re wearing the colours are amazballs… Pliers honey, squeeze the ba-jingers out of it and it will buckle out of the capture… then gently jiggle it… it of course will leave a hole… I normally darn it for strength… I am sitting here laughing my arse off … can’t wait to tell Mr Christopher… sew sew sew something I would do… only I would change up my studio which faces up the driveway etc. I have been known to iron my top in my bra and someone shows up 😂😂😂 🤭 💕💕💖💖🦩🦩🦩
H you always make me laugh, I will try and squeeze the beJeeez out of the snap 🤣🤣🤣 The blue roses 💙 so pretty but a little bit edgy 🤩 and the cake tasted as good as it looked 😋 I live opposite a secondary school, ironing a top in my bra would put a whole new slant on the education curriculum 🤪🤣🤣
Lovely vlog Julie, thank you. I like sewing but am no way as clever as you. Just wondered if you could put a band round the bottom of the jacket and just cover the press stud up rather than try and remove it. You look really nice in all that you make xx
Thank you Linda. I’m certainly not clever! . I sew at a slow speed slow to as I like to aim for accuracy. It has been suggested to apply pressure from a pair of pliers on the pressure on the metal snap and it should give way so I will try that and see how it goes. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment 🥰🫶🏻🤩
Loved your story! I could feel your panic. What a lot of sewing fun you've had and beautiful makes and fabrics. The cake was amazing. I like that you get close to the camera to show the fabric.
Ooo we are going to make the Malvern French dart dress too, but not this month 😂. Such a beautiful dress. Sam's is stunning. Could the tarten not be a Malvern dress? 🤩
Have you tried a staple extractor and pliers Julie to get your metal snaps off. There is a you tube channel called Mama Banana and she uses that. I haven't tried metal, but I do use my extractor for my plastic ones myself. How did you get on with your new tool for metal snaps? Great video as usual.
Oh I will check out Mama Banana thank you! What a great channel name 😁 the snap tool is great, I’m going to try a smaller size metal snap with it next time to check how versatile it is. If I remember, I’ll record it and share in my Pogonip reveal vlog 🤩🥰
I'm sorry, but I don't understand too many coats! I think your husband has talked to my husband about this. They are crazy! There is no such thing as too many coats. I may be retired, but I want to look fab as I walk the dogs, get the groceries, take out the garbage, we'll you understand. Too funny sewing your jeans to your knickers. I do alterations for other people and have pinned garments to underwear. I just found your channel, you are great!
