I have the LS4 I could not be happier. Dont get the problem with loose pins, so what, they are easier to get out than tight fitting pins. Hard to swing deck into position? go to the gym for a while, this is a mans machine. You have to ease into thicker limbs and dont let it vibrate too much. I cut stuff as big as my arm. Ive been able to prune overhead limbs, mow by the pond, trim trails, and afterwards it will mulch your trimmings. Fits great on John Deere tractor

I have an LS2. Bought it new and used it maybe 2 hours trimming a driveway and three of the main bracket bolts broke that needed to be replaced with more heavy duty bolts. Got it running and took to my hunting lease to trim lanes. After 2 days (about 10 hours of actually working it) the skid steer mounting plate bent from the torque of the weight of the unit, the main pivot had about 1/2" of wobble and play and 2 main bearings in the motor housing went out and scared the main drive shaft. Lane Shark was contacted and were zero help. Said it was operator error and abuse. The unit never saw any branches over 2" and was used on a new Kubota M4-071 with a cab and was not "abused"! I spent $1730 on parts and labor plus the bearings and shaft that are on order now to fix it.
These units are not built to handle what they are intended to do. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY unless you have a good machine shop that can beef it up for you because you will need to beef it up substantially!!!! Unfortunately there really isn't another option like this out there. Beef it up Lane Shark or someone is going to get hurt when one of these comes apart while running!!!!

I have the LS-2 I think. The bigger one. I am pretty happy with it. I think it’s way better than a pole saw or Kaiser blade

This is exactly the video I needed to see about the Lane Shark. I thought there was poor quality control. There should be no pin misalignments. I don't want to have to buy my own pins when Lane Shark should have provided appropriate pins for $5,000. Have you considered a Quick Attach for your front loader cutter? There are limitartions on the Quick Attach cutter . Here's a link wth a video showing a Quick Attach cutter while the tractor has a hydraulic oil tank pump designed specifically for the hydraulic fluid. In the video, the cutter is mounted on a 45hp New Holland Boomer tractor. th-cam.com/video/QJdN1-QpaTw/w-d-xo.html
The oil tank eliminates burning out your tractor's hydro oil pump. The Quick Attach hydro pump mounts on the tractor's 3 point hitch. I hope you get your money back from Lane Shark, brother or get the sloppy Lane Shark cutter replaced. Again, thanks for the video showing all the nasty issues. Excellent video brother. I'm NOT buying a Lane Shark for my 60hp Massey 4760M deluxe tractor 👍🏽🤠 08/28/24

Dude… hose management is on the owner as they don’t what machine you’re going to be using this with. They’re all different…

That's some pretty shitty quality for how expensive these things are. Its like the excuse of "there is nothing wrong, its designed that way and just a bad design."
