U20 MEN
This was Game 1 for our U20s in the 24-25 U20 National League - and what a tough one to kick things off!
Dundalk Ravens Basketball Club are a super side and probably one of the favourites for the championship - and they showed their class on Sunday at the LRC.
Our guys tried hard to stay in touch in the first half - with Eoghan Sherry in particular putting on a show at the rim.
But at 26-42 down at the break it was difficult to see how we could stop Ravens from scoring with their very varied attack.
Sure enough they cut loose in Q3 winning that period 9-28!
While Phoenix fought back in Q4 with a resilient spirit the visiting side were the clear winners.
Phoenix’s poor form from the arc - with only one three (compared to Ravens’ seven) - and the numerous misses at the rim - did cost us dear - but we can have no complaints that we were second best on the day.
