- Welcome! I'm sharing a week of real life school lunches. We don't pack anything fancy around here, just basic, simple lunches!

Hi,
I just add the can of tuna, some mayo and salt and pepper to mine. I'll add celery to it too if I have it, or sometimes a bit of relish. Mix it with a fork and spread on my bread. 😊

Maybe try just leaving the hot water in the thermos for the noodles and crush the noodles and then they put the noodles in the thermos with the hot water and let them sit there for a couple minutes. That is what my kids do they want noodles to take to school

My son loves pizza he'd definitely bring his lunch bag over for some pizza pockets and those English muffin pizzas, lol
Pizza is a major food group for him.
I make him Mr noodles but I dump the broth and put the cooked noodles into the thermos and it's perfect for him at lunch not too hot and not cold.
We are pizza lovers too!!! So you don't add the broth, just the mr noodles to the thermos? I'll have to ask mine if they'd like that. Thanks for the suggestion! Have a great week! 🙂

Yes, we don't like the broth in this house we just like the cooked noodles. If your kiddos would like the broth, could add some of it instead of all so they get some of it.

Interesting that you make hot lunches, when I was young (I don’t remember really young, but at least like 5th grade and up), I packed my own lunches, never hot, always cheese strings, tubes, lunchables, granola bars, goldfish, fruit, etc
That's great that you were so independent. I like being able to pack hot lunches, especially during cold Canadian winter days. Nice to have something warm on those days. Using a thermos offers so many more options too. Have a great week. 😊

Emily is such a happy kid! She seems so proud when she empties a lunch bag-haha!!! Those cheese/garlic naan sticks looked yummy. I have everything in my kitchen to make that! Also, when I was young I LOVED Zoodles. I would melt a slice of Kraft cheese in it to make it creamy cheesy yum! My son asked me to buy him a Mr. Beast choco bar when he came to the grocery store with me a few weeks back. He chose the peanut butter one and picked up a plain choco for my other son.
Hey Lily, you're right about Emily, she is a very happy kid and loves emptying the lunch bags. She loves eating the leftovers too, when she can! Haha
I bet the cheese on the zoodles was a good addition! I'm surprised Audrey doesn't like them. The garlic naan was so good!! Pizza on naan is great too!
What did your son think of his bar? They are actually pretty good, the crispy one is our favorite. They are a tad pricey though! I usually hit up the dollar store to stock up on bars for Friday treats! Have a great week! 😊
@@mominthemaritimes My sons loved the peanut butter one. They said the plain one was good but preferred the pb one. I too think it is too expensive for me to buy often-I also buy most of my choco at dollar stores and stock up and then hide it from my husband and one son or they will eat them all at once.

How old is your children with grade in the school
@@cynthiamaybunya4622 our kids range from age 12-3. They are in grades 6, 3 and grade 1.
Another awesome week of lunches, it seems Ben thought everything was delicious. Graham crackers and butter sound like a yummy treat. Sometimes taking a break from chocolate is a good thing, it helps the kids to enjoy and appreciate the chocolate more when they do have it. We are taking care of my granddaughter today and tomorrow, she just cannot shake the cold/flu like symptoms she has had since she had RSV, she will have a follow up with her doctor on Thursday. We are just going over so she can stay home and sleep, something she doesn't get much of at daycare. Thanks for sharing your outdoor pictures, it looks like Spring is making it's way in. Hi Tania, it was a successful week of lunches for Ben! I find it interesting asking who liked what, I was surprised that Jacob didn't love the mr Noodles.
I'm sorry to hear Mackenzie is still battling sickness!!! Praying she's feeling better really soon! There are so many bugs going around. Spring is slowly starting to arrive in the Maritimes! The kids are pretty excited about it. Hope you're having a great week so far. 😊
