  • I recently bought a 1966 Thunderbird with a 390FE V8 motor and 97,000 miles on it. Bought it from original owner out of Waxahachie, Tx. The only rust on her is underneath in places like the leaf springs or the rear end, but the body is flawless damn near. Planning to fix exhaust leak and replace the shocks soon. Any other comments or suggestions are welcome!

The rear differential needs re-greasing around a 100K. Check your oil leak. May be the tranny from sitting to much. See if it stops with use. Other commenters have provided a good list of resources. I have 2 town landau's and love them. Very nice bird.

The “birds nest” in line wood oregon is the best source for parts..

Hello Ben. You found yourself a beauty! You will probably get many T-Bird lovers giving you some tips. I see Joernone has already chimed in! Check out Nick at Vintage Thunderbird Repair, Alvin at Jamieson's Repair Shop, Gordon Miller's channel, and Pedalbox. I am sure there are more on TH-cam to find.
