The most important polish poem "Pan Tadeusz" written by Adam Mickiewicz, which first part "inwokacja" all pupils have to learn by heart in Poland (it is so important like national anthem) is start from words "Litwo ojczyzno moja ty jesteś jak zdrowie, ie cię trzeba cenić ten tylko się dowie kto cię stracił ..." "Lithuania my faterland ...". Adam Mickiiewicz, the greatest polish poet was born in part of "Rzeczpospolita" called Lithuania (e.g. Józef Piłsudski, too), lots of polish fameus people were born on parts of "Rzeczpospolita" which are not part of "modern Poland" but all used polish lenguage and called themsels Poles.
I love Kabaret Smile, they are my favorite. I like your words in the end, they aren't hysterically funny but always are about life. About man playing a girl: that's basically is the joke here - that's a very big and strong girl :D They came up with this idea when he had long hair.
Ah yes, teachers' pets. "Sir, we were supposed to have a test today!" Shut up, Anne, just shut up for once! (you can probably guess the name of the teachers' pet in my high school). And now that some of my friends are teachers themselves, I can definitely say: most teachers DO NOT like them. Alas, since they technically don't break any of the school rules, the only consolation lies in sarcasm.
My thought exactly. Any moron can do a machine translation, but when you only have a basic notion of English you won't be able to correct the contextual errors. Not to mention all the puns and wordplays. All in all, a good bit of comedy ruined by an overzealous incompetence.
I mean that's quite obvious. If you have only male actors and a female character to play you will need to get the sticks out and chek who picks the shortest one.
Great reaction as always. You should also react to a couple of other KMN group skits titled "Holandia", "Odrabianie lekcji" (Doing homework) or "Potomek i pokrzysiek" although, again, some of the jokes might be difficult to translate. There's also a distinctive polish cabaret group called Hrabi, it may be worthwhile to check them out.
There are so many better cabarets and comedians... Plus the translation of this one is terrible. Not that I think translating most kind of word play and comedy is possible at all. It's not. It never will be.
oh come one, polish cabaret is so bad, polish stand-up comedy is way higher level, only sometimes it can be hard to follow some jokes, but that's obvious, guys like Lotek, Antoni Syre-Dąbrowski, Mateusz Socha, these are some of the best, avoid Rafał Pacześ, he's popular but low level jokes

About the men playing women's part in those sketches, it's mainly because in a lot of those groups very often there are no women to play the part.
I see that learning Polish has given you gray hair :D Greetings from PL ;)
Speaking Polish my entire life made me go bald before 40 (either that or genes from both sides).
Cha cha😂😂😂

Bardzo dobre, lubię to oglądać...
Good job on the Polish greeting!
You reminded me that awesome sketch.

,,Baśka miała fajny biust" from the song Wilki - Baśka 😉
I call my students 'locust' :)
The leggings is not an improv, different time he weren't wearing them and his skirt broke he had to hold it to the end.
Haha
I think Rob meant that Kuba's reaction was an improv.
Oooo, first time almost perfect "Cześć przyjaciele" ;-) Keep going, u can do it :)
Back in the day men portrayed women in theatre because women couldn't perform. It was forbidden
Terribly poor translation of this skit. There were many wordplays in it that were not explained.

You are welcome to translate some videos for me...

Men playing female parts goes back to ancient Greece, actually.
I mean that's quite obvious. If you have only male actors and a female character to play you will need to get the sticks out and chek who picks the shortest one.
Yeah, but in ancient Greece female roles were played by young boys

Kabaret Limo zmiana nazwiska albo scenka z Dnia Świra nauka angielskiego.

At last Rob a cabaret from my sides. Thank you
I'd recommend ""Po wywiadówce" by kabaret Zdolni i Skromni, but i'm not sure if it has English subs
in first few grades (from first to third grade, ages from 6-8 to 9-11) polish students have same teacher for most of lessons

Hello Rob, I suggest Mariolka in the SPA - Paranormalni
a lot of things were unexplained and didn't make sense in english subtitles :/
4:00 tbh it's just for it to be funnier or they have no women to play the part
Czy ktoś może to Robowi przetłumaczyć 😁
