Im saying to my self while watching. "Pin the scarfs on the tip of the sleeves" lol, it turned out beautiful.
Lol! Thank you so much :)
You have such a wonderful eye for color and pattern mixing. I love your artful abandon when cutting and stitching. I fear my old school training gets in the way of creativity. Keep up the delightful work!
Thank you so much Doris! Yes, I'm not so good with sticking to a pattern, haha!
So yummy Helen
Thank you Lisa!

So Cool Helen ! would you up cycle items of clothing festival style ?
Thank you! Yes, I have more of that sort of thing in my shop: etsy.com/shop/threadsofafairytale :)
Amazing work!! What stitch do you use to attach the pieces? :)
Hi! Thank you :) It's been a while so I don't know off the top of my head, but it was most likely zig zag stitch. If you're interested in finding out more about my wild sewing process, I have an online workshop coming out soon. Join my newsletter to hear about it first! threadsofafairytale.com/courses/

He passed away and you girls on here give me so mush joy in my new life I don’t do mush but you girls do all the work for me . Thank you for sharing this with me. Your amazing.

Hello! I'm so sorry to hear about your husband, and I'm really glad I can help in some small way. :) Thank you for taking the time to comment.
Take care
You're not taking a risk mixing prints at all - think 'Laura Ashley', I mean the real Laura Ashley designs and fabrics, not the cheap insipid business it's turned into today, all the fashions much the same as every other High Street Chain, the dear lady would turn in her grave ! She mixed patterns and prints all the time and they always looked lovely. There's no rules really is there, whatever looks good is good, it doesn't matter what some overpaid designer says ! and all the 'sheep' (sorry - customers) say, carry on doing your own thing, you're a bright spot in a boring world.
So true.
so you just place the fabric where ever you want and sew it onto the garment ?
Yep, that's it!
What stitch do you use please?
Hi! Almost always zig zag stitch.
So don’t those fabrics fray when they are cut?
Some fray more than others. Sometimes I run a line of stitching near the edge. The more expensive dresses are usually hemmed.
What is the name of your Etsy shop?
Hi Laura! It's threadsofafairytale However, I've recently taken off most of the items for sale there. Please go to my website instead: threadsofafairytale.com/ Thank you :)
Why do u have 6 dressmaking models !? 😱😱
I have two adjustable adults - one regular, one plus size. One non-adjustable for display for online shop photos as it looks nicer; and three non-adjustable children; age 2-3; 5-7 and 10-12.
