Awesome love your work bro, have always loved the birchir's lovely to look at great mannerism and tough to boot, this is one of the best vids yet my friend you have out done yourself, hoorah pauls aquarium and fish shop. See you soon bro.
@@paulstingray BUT I WANT ONE! or 2 for my personal keeping. 😆 maybe one day I'll somehow find a intrusive one fishing somehow... negative temperatures.
These will take a good two months to get up to size before they’re available for sale. But I might have some available before this lot so just check my Unboxing videos usually every Friday and I go through what new Fish we get in each week in the shop.
Another great video Paul! Good timing too. I replied these questions to a previous comment but I know you’re super busy, so I’ll ask here because it seems like an appropriate video lol. I’m actually considering upsizing two of my tanks. I’m having second thoughts on keeping my two tiger bichers with Oscar’s. Question, how big have you seen tank raised tiger bichers get? Info says 75cm but from what I can find that’s wild specimens. Do you think a 6x3x2.5 foot tank (LxWxH) would be a big enough forever home for two tigers bichirs? Cheers mate
Oh I must of missed the comments , weird but that happens if it's a comment on a comment. Most peoples tigers seem to max out around 50-60cm Two in a 6x3 would be heaps of room even if they got to 80cm as they arent super active when bigger
@ thanks mate, good info to know. I was thinking that they might max out size since they have grown so fast (over a foot in a year) but I’d think that there growth rate will slow as they get older. I have been told they would be fine in a 6x2 but I’m not comfortable with keeping them in a tank that that is only as wide as the length they will get.
@@paulstingray keen to be able to keep them in a nice big planted tank. I’m getting tank prices this week, going to be bloody expensive. That’s cheap for Senegals, guess that’s the result of competition. I paid 250 for mine 2 years ago and the cheapest I’ve seen is 190 when I was in Townsville at Christmas. Wouldn’t mind adding more Senegals to the two I have but I really want an albino.
Hello from adelaide. Ive seen small birchirs in aquarium shop for $300. Have you ever spawned yoyo loaches? One of mine got extremmely fat😊. Not sure what would trigger breeding iin loaches or if they would spawn in an aquarium.
Bwo, I actually look at the plumbing in most these vids how to plumb multiple inlets and water change plumbing to (China vids were good for this, clear reasons)
I have bred a few pairs but was slack in raising the fry and ended up mixing them with other cichlids and wiped them out after a month or so unfortunately. But to spawn them you want your temperature around 28°C slightly acidic water. condition the pair and they should spawn pretty quickly.
That is cool Paul, always nice to see babies 🙏
Thanks Tiger!
Always neat to see the tiny fry. ❤
Thanks tiger! they look like weird tadpoles! lol
Awesome to see these fishes ,and yes that egg was really so tiny . Lovely tiny angel fishes too😍😍

Watching the vid I feel the need to spawn the synodontus pair in the bichir tank 🤣🤣🤣
Cinegal bicher looks like a great snakehead alternative. Can't keep snakehead here.
Snakeheads are also noxous over here.

Nice channel. Good to see you're not too far away. Just subscribed. Never had a birchir before. When will these babies be available?

They are like Oscar’s
Grow Fast then slow right down. Most predatory Fish need to do that so that they can survive.

Howdy
I have yet to spawn yo-yo loach but from what I’m aware they trigger like most tetras but need a pH/ GH shift a month or so beforehand
Bwo, I actually look at the plumbing in most these vids how to plumb multiple inlets and water change plumbing to (China vids were good for this, clear reasons)
My plumbing is all over the place because I’m using bits and pieces from old set ups all the time
Another great vid. Have you bred your peacock bass? I’ve kept bad for 10+ years and only had them lay eggs twice. Any tips?

@ mine actually laid a few days ago. But I can’t work out who did it lol. I have 7 large bass. Two I think are females
Would you be interested in some blue texas cichlids around 15cm - 20cm? I have 20+ available haha
Nooooo sorry I have about five tank Fulls I need to bring into the shop
@paulstingray haha all good even bn cats?
Way too many sorry
Loaches smelling EZ food 🍲 freaking Harry Houdini 🪄 But amazing work , the only bummer is I’m across the ponds and that is a long 🐟 field trip ☮️
