కట్టెపోంగలి అంటే కారం పోంగలి ,ఏపోంగలైనా అన్నం కోంచెం ముద్దగా మెత్తగా వుండాలి కోయ్యమెతుకుకాదు,
ఇంకా ఉడీకేటప్పడు మీరియాలు కోంచెం చిక్కోట్టివేయాలి,
ఇంకపోప నెయ్యి వేసి ఎండుమిరపకాయలు కోంచెం జీరా మినపప్పు కరివేపాకు. ఇంగువ కోంచెం కలిపి వేయించి పోంగలిలో కలపాలి వేడిగా మాగాయి. నిమ్మకాయ దబ్బకాయ పచ్చడితో సర్వ్ చేయాలి ఇది సంప్రదాయక పద్దతి,పచ్చిమిర్రి వాడరాదు ఎండు మిరపకాయల పోపు కమ్మని వాసనతో వుంటుంది
