Best video out there showing the actual latch engaged behind the upright seat with a video camera to show people what you are looking for. Love the idea of the box wrench too. I never thought of that. I blindly reached back there to grab the end to move it to unlatch the seat. Great video.
Installed unit would not latch. Found the plastic damper was too small. Had to cut a little out. It's the black piece in the latch hole. Used a exact knife to trim alittle out. Works fine now.

I heard there was some problems, the company has a troubleshooting video. Lubricating the latch helps too
Why ford didn't install all of that?smh. Just buy my seat covers and this video help me. I was so upset I couldn't find anything to lay it down.
Are you able to put the seat back and does the pin engage itself to lock without the new latch system.
When I throw the seat back it keeps the same position of the pin when I released it.
Ok thx.so then I would have to push down on the pin to lock it back in place then. Definitely a pain much easier to buy the release.ty
