Nice work! Just a tip to refine your wooden dummy if you can is that it is important for the two tips of the upper poles or sticks to be in line with each other (in a straight line) and the length between two tips to be the same length (or slightly longer) with the width of the trunk. This allows for more correct training.
you have the heart and dedication of a true shinobi warrior- just like ancient times when ninjas made there own weapons. very creative!!! I know training alone is hard for some people but with a creative mind like yours youll be ok..remember musashi!! keep on the path my friend "BOW"
Ahhhh wow. i day-dreamed of building my own and im sure alot of people who train do the same.... You did it .. thats freaking awesome! Thanks for the post. Oh by the way, it looks very nice.
nice job but it has some mistakes. The opening of the upper arms is very wide. The arms must have 21-22 cm distance between their ends. The leg can be broken easily because it consists of 2 pieces and it can break with a strong hit.i'm sure you can improve this. For the record, and for everyone who is interested, i made a very good dummy(exact copy from these who are sold for 900 euros) from fagus which is very strong wood.it cost me 280 euros.
Wow, what a great work you did there! You're awesome with the right tools in your hands - that came out really nice! (PS: The vid hangs at 05:13 in HD format)
Awesome job. But your upper arms are way to wide. Koo Sang's blueprints state that they should be 8 inches upper from tip to tip. The distance and angulation of the upper arms will dictate how much you move from side to side. Other than the arms, I think U did an awesome job.
Brilliant. Very instrivtive and inspirational. Revives my will to make a dummy merself. 5/5 Thanks very much for posting. Hope you enjoy your play with the dummy and put it to good use. take care and have a nice day silk ;-))
that one is soo much better than the one i made! the arms are soo well done. and the stand is great. I will make a better one just like that one, thank you for sharing!
you are making a wing chun dummy..I suggest the legs to use a bend trunk cus it looks weak....and the arms to use trunks not processed ones..because they are stronger
Nice that you have the skill to build.. but your arms are at the wrong angles. Not by a little, but by a LOT, which will mean it cant be used properly as was designed. Remember, the guys who designed these went thru many revisions to find out what worked best & why. Its doubtful that anyone could improve the traditional design without a Lot of revisions & experience in the arts that utilize them. I made a dummy but the arms didnt move. Made it feel & work all wrong. lesson learned..
@NinjaStudent1 Well done...it is not matter of something to be done,it is the matter you put an effort on what you desire and as a result everyone admire.and you deserve
Yours is way more awesome than mine. I just built one myselff mainly useing lumber around my house. Awesome job man! Check mine out tell me what you think. Love your videos!
What a great piece of work! I wish I could do this I've always wanted a wooden dummy! It would be great to find directions on how to make one.
Very well done. Shows how well disciplined, skilled, and patient you are.

where did you get the experience from? all your "home made ...." things (that I've seen) look good!
Can you please post blueprints and measurements for the arms and angles of the drill? Thanks!
