    I have the Chinese version of this induction hob. It has a couple of issues - first the rubber feet tend to fall out and won’t stay in place when you press them back in. So I had to take all four out 😢 Second issue is all the power levels are too high. It won’t maintain a low simmer as even setting 2 is too high and setting 1 is same as 2, but switched on and off with a 50% duty cycle.

    It's true that you can't choose temp between 80c - 110c? And what about heat diameter? Many induction cooker heats only the center of pan because of small inductor size.

    • @rompo
      @rompo  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Markki, I'm no electrical expert, but I think your extension cord should have some buffer than the input power being drawn from it. Sorry I can't be sure myself, We're plugged directly on a wall outlet. I'm sure it will work initially but the extension wire may heat over time.. you could probably try higher cord gauges, those use on power tools - they may fare better.

    Hi Sir, How's the power consumption? Is it efficient than other Induction cooker? How much kaya average power consumption nito in a month with daily normal cooking usage? Planning to buy Induction cooker soon but still weighing between gas range or this one. Thank you

    • @rompo
      @rompo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Karl, sorry I don't think I can give any sufficient comparison between induction vs gas range. We have been using induction cooktop for quite some time already. (Dowell brands seem to break easily on us)
      One positive thing about induction is that all heat goes into the pan. Also it doesn't add too much heat to the room. LPG cost may be cheaper but we took into consideration the heating time, safety and ease of use.

    • @rompo
      @rompo  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have this unit, and the first custom program I entered was one to maintain 70C for 3 hours. Next time I use it, I will measure the temperature variations at intervals and let you know.

    • @oldguy2280
      @oldguy2280 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jomsies I don't do sous vide, but it does seem to hold a fairly constant temperature. I had to program it for 75C for it to hold my target temp of 65C and it holds about 66C +/- a degree or so, depending on where you measure the temp. I measured it in the center of the pot half way down in the water. My guess is sous vide is similar to boil in the bag stuff, and it works fine for heating up my vacuum sealed stuff.

      i will go with original.
      as that results of "new Inductions products", i not see how and why it will ship upgrade model... the first is just all the markets best selling, and upgrades is on firmware's. and That's just Awesome.
