Thank you for all the ideas and suggestions, I’m working on bringing a 1931 Selmer back to life, haven’t got it perfect yet, one issue I have is the tuning not being quite even top to bottom and I read about using shims in the bottom joint to help correct this, just another thought if people are struggling. Hopefully their friendly neighborhood tech will point them right. Love the videos.
Useful, is there any other way to test a barrel without getting some more to try? My clarinet E11 has just been to the luthier for a servicebut still is becoming more and more difficult to play.
Whats your opinion of oiling the bore of a clarinet? My repair tech is a military trained award winning clarinetist. When I asked him about that he said he's never oiled the bore of his clarinet ever in his life. He doesn't believe it makes a difference.
Absolutely right. A new setup of mouthpiece and barrel have rejuvenated my 40 y/o Selmer 10G.
I so appreciate your lessons
THANK YOU so much !!!!!!!!!!

I let my repair technician make the call 😂 he keeps my clarinets in tip top shape!
