My sound has become 10-15% better since i use the same ligature as you. I have never thought that the difference to my old leather strap is so high. The most reason for squeky reeds is when the tipp is to thin.Thats my experience. I use a reedcutter then and remove just a little thin line of the wood. Tanks for your chanel!!! Thank you, it's helpful. I'm a mid-age beginner, I thought I had solved this problem, but I couldn't avoid the weird sound this week. I will reconsider this problem from these 10 aspects you mentioned.
great video. I purchased some pad from silverstein and you can chose the ones with a guide (it is a mark that you can feel where to put your teeth. But of course you should do that check first and place that pad correct then. I also saw somebody doing it with a thin paper putting between the reed and the mouthpiece, so then you can feel it how far you should go.
hi there.I bought a budget clarinet and im trying to learn to play, you said your reeds last months!!! or weeks!!! but the reeds ive been using are destroyed about after an hour of practice.I dont understand this.
Hi Cally, I learned from ‘earspasm’ Michael who said, squeaks are tones in the highest register. So this could maybe be one way to play high tones. What do you think?
Love you’re channel , I’m daz from Australia just got back into clarinet after 40 years, it’s beautiful
The double mouthpiece patches is a really good idea..

I tried this method this week and I like it, but I keep pinching my inner lip between my teeth and the guide😕 I'll learn eventually!

The last tip of using another mouthpiece patch as a guide is brilliant. Thank you
Thank you again for your tips! They are awesome and extremely helpful! 😺😺😺

So true!!! I often have said squeaks are just high notes with names :-) The trick to consistency is being able to "squeak" them out on command... lol
How long do you soak the reed?
2 mins or less
How do I know by watching if the reed is waterlogged?
It's waterlogged when it looks wet all the way through
This is usefull thx😁
its popping up quickly...because there is a leak.
...because its warped?
180th like!
