I somehow ended up in a race with you guys the other day/night at Oulton park, well when I say I was in the race what I mean is I was on the grid but by T3 you's were gone. I had one small glimmer of hope as someone spun you out at T1 a few laps later but nope, you were back on track and away. I choked at the chicane and lost sight soon after, sailed round the rest of the race on my own at the back. Damn you guys are fast. I had no business being in that race, was 16 sec off the leader by the end but cool to see you's top drivers on track. I was just a grid filler but got promoted to C licence after that race so well chuffed. Ill keep following the guides and maybe one day ill keep up with your pace. It won't be at Laguna though by the looks of your time!
I think I remember that race. My good mate and former world champion CJ Barry accidentally murdered me. But you’re right there were some fast drivers in there, to be fair to CJ, he was put off his game by Louis Foster (Indy NXT driver) giving him a bump just before he turned me. Say hello next time!
Every week i check in here after doing a few solo laps. Its fun to know im leaving time on the table and then check in to see exactly where. This week its everywhere 😅 lots to practice thanks for the guide as always.
Perfect guide again , thank you, Turn 3 is for me just as important as Turn 5, spending a good amount of time in 4th so lots of time can be lost. I noticed for the last two weeks the Test session track temperatures were a bit different than the actual races, had colder track on Oulton Park in the races, just could not manage to get to do the same times as test sessions.
Yeah all we can do is load in from the schedule, but a colder track is a faster track. It’s just easier (in general) to put in faster laps in a free practice with auto-reset than it is in qualy when the pressure is on. But on the flip side, my best lap this week at Oulton is a draft free 56.9 as opposed to a 57.2 guide lap. Main thing to remember is the Vee is draft dependent so if you (ie, you, me, anyone) is within 1.2 seconds on anyone then there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be able to keep up and pass them on the straights. It’s why I love this car.
They’ll be back next week for Snetterton. I wanted to A/B test the FF1600’s existing guide vs its performance when new from last season to see the difference.
Another week, another awesome guide we get for free. Thanks Sambo.
Ha. Love your comments Steve. Cheers bud. When are you going to stop race AI and join us?
Always a pleasure to watch your guides. Keep them up !
Thanks buddy
