The Indianapolis 500 is and always will be the greatest spectacle of racing. Leigh Diffey definitely drives up the atmosphere of the racing. His commentary makes the racing more exciting to watch. I'm gonna miss him so much here but he's carrying his legacy into Nascar. Also fun fact, due to the heavy rain prior to this race, i literally thought the race would be postponed till the next day. So i didn't watch and the next morning when i was scrolling the internet, i was surprised they still able to have time to do so.

Once they announced that the race would start around 4-ish, we all got back to our seats and surprisingly almost everyone stayed and still had a packed house. But that’s why you never leave until you hear an official announcement from the track or IndyCar if the race would be postponed to the next day or not.
You should've just scrolled through the internet on Sunday not just Monday. Because I literally had to go somewhere anyways and still caught the rest of the race.
What a weird 12th Indy 500 for me. Out of all the years that I’ve been going since 2012, I’ve never had to deal with a rain delay for The Greatest Spectacle In Racing and it finally happened. I for sure thought that the race would be postponed to Monday, but I’m so happy that the rain stopped when it did and the track got dry pretty quick. And we got lucky with how long the race took. Especially since it was starting to get dark and the checkered flag would be flown at 8:20 P.M. no matter what lap they were on. Overall, this was one strange Indy 500 to experience as a fan, but we got so lucky that we got to see the whole 500 miles be run.
I agree I’ve been going to the track since kindergarten and I’m 23 years old now and I’ve never experienced so much rain at the track but I was glad that it cleared up and we had an amazing race and a spectacular finish I sit in turn 3 and watching Newgarden go on the outside on Pato on the final lap was out of this world
My second 500, definitely an interesting experience with the rain. Was so worried going into the weekend about the weather and learned about the tornado a few miles from the track in '04. Began to wonder when the wind came in whether we were fixin to have a repeat but much closer to the track this time 😅
Indy 500 of the day that has the big motor racing races like the Monaco GP and the Charlotte 600, It is the most impressive in world motorsport, I will never understand how these open wheels go so fast on such a long oval.
This was definitely a different race day for me in the 11 years I've been going. It was pretty fun, staying past the time the gates usually close. I loved when those guys made the most out of the delay and started racing around two signs over by the pagoda
This race had a certain air of drama and felt so epic, especially with the post 8pm finish time and all the cars getting super loose with all the downforce.
