Well done you for holding down a job and even getting promoted! Totally respect your privacy and you’re brave to share. Love all your videos and seeing your beautiful face but no pressure to make them regularly, health comes first xx
So sad for you, so sorry about the breakup. I admire your resilience and your courage. I’ve had constant pain myself last 3 months so I’ve had just a little hint of what you go through. I salute your strength.
I was diagnosed last year with functional neurological disorder and I have lost my freedom and independence and joy. It is taking a major toll on my family especially my husband who is definitely not the Florence nightingale type. No one understands in my family that I am suffering everyday and they think I exaggerate my symptoms. How can I walk fine one minute and the next I need a cane and breathing heavily because it's hard to even stand, thats just one example. They think Im lazy and not fighting hard enough. If they only knew right. No matter how u describe what you are feeling they cant truly comprehend it. The only people who can truly understand the torture of this disorder are us, the ones who have it. I am amazed you can even work and am happy for you that you can. It gives me hope that maybe I can get better. But I'm homebound for now. Please keep us updated and I wish you good luck. Is there any medication that's helping you?
Sorry to hear about your breakup 😢 that's awful, hope you're doing ok. I admire your strength to get through that as well as working with your health condition. Take good care of yourself xxx
Sorry to hear about your breakup It's tough on families and spouses...I suffer from FMD also and really appreciate your videos because sometimes I feel like I am the only one out there dealing with this
Hi Larissa, I've been recently diagnosed with FND (in January) and I've found your and other peoples videos have helped me to come to terms with this weird disorder. I currently tend have myoclonus in my left arm, shoulder and back which - after starting physio - has now started to wax and wane every few days, and I've developed a bad stammer too :( I've noticed some people with FND have various random symptoms while mine tend to stick to muscle spasms with back pain and a frustrating stammer. Have your symptoms always been the same or did you notice them changing over time? I'm worried about mine morphing in to seizures etc as it began with just having muscle spasms and now my left hand jerks towards my face (so I almost stab myself in the face if I'm holding cutlery!). Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for the videos and I'm sorry to hear about Darren. All the best from the UK!
