Great conversation with some really sound advice all around. Always great to see croszovers especially with ONE OF....the BEST warcry players...in NORTH America
I'm trying to make a Tzeentch Arcanites list and need help. You said some of their problems included bad abilities, struggling to handle large threats, acolytes being bad, and guided by the past being bad against toughness higher than 3. I thought adding a mindstealer sphiranx and adding the +1 strength to an enlightened aviarch might help. Would that work?
I think +1str on any form of enlightened is a great idea, because it shifts the scope of what it can deal with (from T3 and some T4 to T3, T4 and some T5).
I've not played a sphiranx; I think they need something with beef so it depends how well the sphiranx provides that versus the in faction options like the thaumaturge or curseling and the out of faction ones like the myrmidon or fomo
Having said "any form of" I think I'd probably be more tempted to use it on the non Aviarch (you get a result better than an Aviarch on a medium triple for fewer points) or the foot Aviarch. Making the Aviarch on disc, even more expensive I'm less sure about - 290pts for a strength boosted Aviarch on disc is such a huge investment into something that's quite fragile...
@@andrewmorris550 I was worried that would be the case. I just really wanted the mobility and the extra attack to get the most out of the damage boost... I think this one might have to go back to the drawing board, which is a shame because the arcanites don't seem to have many other tricks.
@@andrewmorris550 If by beef you mean durable and strong in melee then probably not. It's only 260 points and a lot of that goes to its abilities and 8 inch move. It's a shame. Sphiranx looks so much nicer than fomo crusher.
With listbuilding, it has occurred to me that you should ask yourself, the following questions: How do I deal with big models How do I deal with chaff? How do I take treasure? How do I take objectives? It sounds simple, but I think it's a good exercise. The answer often isn't "kill the model" it can be, like you said, "gum them up" with chaff, nets, etc...
Four of us recently jumped head first into this. One has Warhammer experience but all of us are high level gamers and very into strategy and digesting as much as we can (I am fairly confident they'll all watch this shortly). I am running Bloodbound, so some seemed to directly apply. Do you have any suggestions and/or content to point me to regarding them? I've watched most all of the major videos on them I could find, but hoping there's something that speaks more directly to concepts you raised from a specific stance (reactions vs attacks, units vs chaff/mid/higher tier, etc)? Thanks in advance. I enjoyed your stuff, including your old crossover with Reedo!
The enemy cannot push the button if you disable his hand!- drill sergeant zim I rush my friends Kruleboyz with my 2 Kroxigor using tearing bite, round 2 like every time hahaha. Even though krox aren't good without buffing their attacks. I'm a noob but in my few games I've found crit fishing to be fun af and a good way to win, how much do you actually take that shit into account when it comes to competitive games
Oh man, Eric keeps getting downgraded. Next thing he features in, he's going to be one of the best Warcry players who has converted KO using pirate space elves, at this rate. Throw the guy a bone!

Also, shout-out to the Madison crew and that beautiful man rocking the WWE squad last tournament 😂

and what I like about those 4 questions is: sometimes answering one of them makes u worse at answering another one.

Easily a top 5 Warcry-playing-Eric in Wisconsin.
