I've mostly been reading high fantasy for the past 2 years and honestly, this is still me for roughly the first 100-200 pages of every fantasy book I read. 😂
@@alyxandriaang even with regular length fantasy books, lol. Especially when characters leave then decide to come back, I always have to rewind to remember who that was (but I read online, so I just search the name).
Sooo true. As a 14 yr old who has been reading high fantasy for the past 3 years, I swear that the first 100 pages are confusing as hell But the last 100 pages are a whirlwind of excitement
Haha, this was my first higher/adult fantasy too, I had to take a breather and just let myself be confused for a bit, I started to catch on eventually 😂😭
Me who read The Inheritance Cycle without doing that (The two last books have 1000+ pages and the whole series has so many details and things going on. It's literally impossible to remember it all)
that’s how i felt with every first 100-200 pages of the Grishaverse books, shadow and bone i was so confused because of all the grisha, siege and storm i had to figure out the darklings story line, and then ruin and rising with the family tree, and six of crows was fairly easy, and then there was king of scars.
i dropped that series like after nightfall, like 5 years ago, when i couldn't wait a year for the next book to publish. but gahdamn, i would often go along with it until i got familiar with the unknown characters lmao

i read this lovely fantasy series once and i loved it. i forgot almost everything that happened except for a handful of events that were visually cool.
When I read The Way of Kings the first time, I got like 97% of the way through that absolute cinder block of a book and said, "Oh! That's what the plot of this book is... Time finish so I can read it again"
The prologue is confusing but once you are in with Kaladin and Shallan it’s smooth sailing imo. Of course the interludes can mess with you as well but they’re not thattttttt important
@@grandadmiralmanateei am always curious what those interludes are for? Do those characters in them even show up in the rest of the series? I only read the first book btw

I walk around in the world with my nose in any fantasy book. As of right now I have been smelling the pages of the Keeper of the Lost Cities series. I'm currently on book 6...and it's the last one I have.
I honestly couldn’t with the priory, i gave it 3 ⭐️ 😭 if it were a book i enjoyed 2 days can do if you have nothing to do the entire day, but when you don't enjoy the book naaah

I wonder how long it took the author to write a 800 page book.😂
Lol😂😂😂😂 more than a year atleast
In the acknowledgement she stated it took 3 years until it could be published
Depends on the author. 😂 some a year, some 2, some less, and some literally decades for one book.
lmao keeper of the lost cities are always about this length and it takes the another, shannon messenger, 1-2 years to complete each book
The Sanderson arrives and drops his annual 900-1400 pages book 😂
