Found 2 really good cases from Smith… “small sunglasses case” for everyday and fits in my evergoods CAS2 sling. Also smith “sunglass travel case” fits 2 pairs in a pretty compact size… I use that for my prescription glasses to keep the readers and regular together. Both fairly durable hard cases.
Duluth's "Sunglasses Pillbox" is my goto. It's not pretty and it's not going to look sleek like some of these but it's a pill-shaped case that zips in half and has retention webbing on both sides your glasses slip behind, meaning you can carry two pairs at once. Love it.
I have 8 of the Pelican 1030, amongst numerous other sizes & they are perfect for all sorts of EDC like Top end sunglasses, I keep them in original leather cases then put in the Pelican 1030, also they are great for keeping 4 Montblanc Fountain Pens inside Montblanc Calfskin Leather Pen cases, I also keep IEM's worth £1,500 each in their soft Calfskin Leather cases along with £330 Amp/Dac's in leather cases and spare leads (worth £380+) others I store my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 512GB phone inside a case along with charging lead, then other's I use for carrying my Montblanc Card Holders & Wallets because they are expensive and the Pelican 1030's are 100% waterproof etc., they are £27.99 each in the UK but when you consider the cost of the goods they protect they're cheap, I can also carry 4 x 10cm L/E Mohair Steiff Teddybears which cost £110 each (total £440) which hate water, sand & dirt but are totally safe inside the 1030 these are just some of my uses I hope they help you 👍🥰
This video confirms what I found in my search: the options are at best seriously limited and at worst absolutely abysmal. The positive takeaway is that it’s not just that I’m terrible at searching. Why doesn’t anyone make a good, rugged glasses case?? I found some random, no brand thing for $15 but it’s bulky and not high quality. I’d like to find one of those snap-closed hard shell glasses cases but they only seem to come with glasses (and probably let grit in the gap). Why doesn’t RayBan make something more robust as an aftermarket option?
For a great budget option, Muji makes a glasses case in clear crush-proof polycarbonate in two sizes for $2-3. Spray them black if you want but they're more compact than any of these options.
@@ctdefender110ct5 I wear some metal framed wayfarer-looking sunglasses and they fit fine in the small size. People with aviators or Devil Wears Prada ones will want the large.
I was so protective around my glasses but my oakleys are just fine in my bag tbh. And that soft pouch helps against scratches. How I put my glasses in my sling.
Are any of these cases heat resistant for leaving glasses in a car? Looking for something to hold my work glasses in the car. Something where I don’t have to wear before and after work every day; I can just take them on and off as needed and I can store them in my car
Hiyo! I would recommend the Pelican 1030 if temperature is a concern. The seal should help maintain internal temperature for a time and the PDP for the 1030 states a safe range of -10F-199F. Going with the solid black [opaque] version would also add some UV protection if required. The Daka Can 2.0 would be our second recommendation, although they do not state a specific temperature range

Thanks for demo'ing with your JMM's. Legit spectacles on par with high end carry!
Magpul DAKA can for the win. I’ll buy the 2.0 if my original ever fails.

Do you recommend the large or small muji case for sunglasses? Thanks.

Thanks for the tip, Ed. We'd love to check them out. Do you have a link?

@@CarryologyTV the 1030 fit great for almost all sunglasses. I've also picked up a 1020 and 1060 cases for different purposes. Really good.
