I have made hundreds of molds. Haven't made anything from them, just very satisfying to measure, mix and pour. Who needs a fidget spinner when you have SILICONE!!!!
Removing the fins to mold and glue back on is pretty slick! How you got the Brown to stay still and strait, is part I struggle with. After the fin removal, they tend to be non-compliant.
This may sound odd, but im trying to find a good material for a stressball. The kinds you buy at the store. Would this be okay to use? It would have a squishy filler on the inside of the silicone.
did you roll your eyes when you replied, feeling obligated to answer this question despite knowing you're likely dealing with a future darwin award recipient?
We recommend using our Smooth-On Universal Mold Release for easy and effective mold release. You can find more information about it on our website smooth-on.com. Have a great day!
It can be tough to say how many castings you will get from a mold because there are a lot of different factors that go into the casting process. We have customers that will get hundred's if not thousands of castings from their molds. If you have any specific questions you can submit a ticket to our tech support team and they can answer anything further for you. I really wanted to know myself, because I would have wanted to simply, eat the fish. But I like your style Ryan Baker.
Five minute cure time... why wouldn’t it be? I’d avoid the skin, but no reason the filet shouldn’t be usable.
Muy bueno

This process serves to silicone baby too?
Yes, as long as you apply a release agent in the mold before casting the silicone.
How many times can you cast using the same mold?
