If you have a 3 pt shot it helps spread the floor and give others more space. Don't require but it is nice to have. that is essentially why Pili who is undersized will get drafted.
For the W, she will definitely want to stretch her range to the 3. That's the modern game and aligns w/ current day analytics. It's ok that she doesn't quite have it now, but I guarantee you her W team will want her to start working on that immediately.
Generally agreed with your review. I think Edwards is 1 and Pili is a very close second with Reece bringing up the rear. Reece's game needs a lot more work than the other two players. Again keep up the great work man.
Edwards. She is very fast for her size. Strong and drives to the basket well. Excellent defense. If she has to switch to a gaurd she can gaurd her. Against Iowa she stopped Clark on a few switches. Not many bigs have the footwork to do this.Clark went right around Boston and Cardoso.
I would take Pili over Edwards. Edwards is a solid pick, but nothing stands out with her play. Pili is very unique, can take over a game if needed. She strikes me as a generational player. It's super entertaining watching her play bully ball with the bigs. I see Reese as taking another year to sort thing out and build her draft stock. Love your player comparisons. Pili=Barkley, Reese=Draymond.
I agree - but teams are too afraid of making a mistake and looking bad. If Pili works it could really work but she might struggle with lack of height but think it is worth the chance as the upside if good is so high.

Great comp w/ Pili and Barkley! I was saying that last week during the game against S. Car. Like Barkley she could be a match up problem for 3's and 4's in the W.
I might be biased but I’d take Edwards over anyone! Aaliyah edwards almost beat the record for most FG without a miss, she was just 1 field goal away (11/11 was the ncaa tournament record - liyah had 10/10 before she missed) Pili is second, she’s just so good! I feel like she should be higher than she is.
I’ve heard WNBA coaches say, UCONN players have a reputation for being “pro-ready” that doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll be stars at the next level, although many have. However, it does mean players from UCONN are developed enough for the next level.
Great analysis. Your comparison of Pili to Barkley is a good one. Pili may lack a bit of speed for the WNBA, but will still make a good addition to any team. IMO, the question concerning Reese is: is she coachable? She has already displayed prima donna behavior. ❤
@coachjay3 well that being: - After national championship insisting on getting in CC face and letting her know about it. - appears her Mom and another player mom getting into it. - Left the team for around 5 games in middle of season. Your opinion stinks Reese is not even the best player on her team. I take Morrow over her any day. Her out side game makes her even tougher on the inside where her ability to board is every bit as good as Reese. Reese has no outside game not even a mid range game.
Brink will play a 4 in the pros. If you add her to the mix, I feel she has the highest ceiling, because of her defense, shot blocking and ever improving 3-pt shot. She would be my first choice. Reese has to improve her offense to make a difference in the WNBA.

Doesn't matter when you get drafted, just to which team best fits the player. You can be the female Jordan but if you get drafted to a bad team with a bad org. than you will never have a chance to be successful. FYI bad team usually mean bad org. A good org, will always have players in line to replace the players that leave. A bad org, will only spend money on starting players instead of acquiring good subs.
Angel is actually a good passer, when she actually makes the decision to pass out of the post. Most times she goes for the whistle to get those free throws. However, Last season Reese did great passing to L. Williams on the high-low and Flaujae on cuts, seen some flashes of it this year as well.
I don't see Pili going before Reese. Pili is too boom or bust. It's no history of a player with her frame and skillset in the WNBA. At least with Reese you know she'll be able to rebound and defend immediately. I think her mid-range can develop too with time as a pro.
Angel has elite level athleticism; unfortunately she has apparently declined to work on her game in favor of her "Bayou Barbie" social media presence. It's sad to see such a talent so soon in decline, and already becoming known as a team/locker room problem. She's probably dropped from a top 5 pick to somewhere in the 2nd round, and risks not even making a W team, or possibly even graduating from college. On the other hand, those may not even be goals of hers. She could likely make 10X the $$ on Only Fans. I wouldn't judge her for that, she is empowered to make her own choices.

Y'all wanna really look at Reese's potential as a pro go back and watch her 20 and 10 game against South Carolina in 2021 on master class when she was a sophomore at Maryland. Go further back to highschool when she played the guard position and had a nice outside jumper with excellent lift before her foot and shin injuries put rods in her leg that limited her jumping range. Also their is a skill set break down video on Reese that takes apart her unusual skill set on TH-cam as well. Reese is a natural guard who has excellent handles and passing abilities. If it were not for her prolific ability to rebound she'd have a more point forward developed game at this point. Her sudden growth spurt in high school and instinctive ability to rebound caused coaches to put her in the 5 spot where she doesn't need to be. Making her play with her back to the ball without a jump hook is a bad idea. Last year she had good success at the four playing with a true five. Reese has an unusual skill set and touch around the basket in a face up game not with her back to the basket. She needs two strides to the basket for her scoop and she needs room to make a move to position herself to score. She is not effective from a standstill against true post players. She can take anybody off the dribble right below the freethrow, or elbow where she can shoot and where she has a deadly spin move in about two or three dribbles and she can go coast to coast. If I were advising her I wouldn't enter the draft this year its all politics and market positioning for certain players who they think will explode the league. Its a placement strategy and she won't get a fair shot. Plus they waiting on a shot to destroy her confidence over not laying down and letting their Shero win that chip spoiling their marketing plans. This year draft is to place certain players in certain markets to grow key league franchises. Like that phony lottery putting Catlin in Indiana where her boyfriend is an assistant coach with the Indiana Pacers🤔 but that's how it goes. If I was Reese Id get with an agency like Klutch sports and work with a pro developer and strength trainer... play overseas for a year and enter the draft in 2025 when they got a newer franchises coming on board where you can help build an entertainment asset on and off the court in a more urban market. She really can't get anything more out the college market, winning another chip is not going to do anything for her pro career, she is not going to be college player of the year, and nothing she does on the court is going to change her draft position and she already maxed out of college NIL. Even if she stays in college I wouldn't play my 5th year at LSU I'd head out west to USC or UCLA where they are building pro style players in a three person triangle offensive set as opposed to the two player hit the post system she is stuck in now. Reese's needs to be on a team that uses an open style of creative play...one that runs a primary and secondary fast break system. She will do well in a triangle style offense. She is a good defender with quick hands when she defends on the wing, top of the key and in the open court.
