You guys really do seem to be keyed into the death metal artists of the late 80s and early 90s such as Cannibal Corpse, Bolt Thrower, Morbid Angel, Sepultura, etc. There is clearly just something about that era that resonates with you and that's a good thing because those bands are freaking awesome. Highly recommend gorefest, death, obituary, malevolent creation, Celtic Frost,.. The list goes on and on

I’ve never crowd surfed. But, I was at a Sevendust show in 1997 (I think) and was enjoying the show when I got knocked into the ground after a crowd surfer hit me from behind. Never saw it coming. Don’t really remember a whole lot ha. I just remember the band stopping and saying they needed to get medical people to me. They apparently stopped for a good 10-15 minutes. I did hear them say they hoped I was ok and were really cool about it. I was in the hospital for 4 days with every vertebrae in my neck messed up in some way. I’m still dealing with it to this day!
and at 5 min and 45 sec into is a wall of sound love cannibal corpse for improving the sound of death metal and raising that bar for what that old school death metal elements should consist of
Corpse Grinder's hobby when between gigs is to go to Arcades and play those grabbing machines where you can try to get a toy. He then plays til he has loads and goes and gives them out to needy children at hospitals, etc!
I haven’t gotten hurt from crowd surfing but it certainly is possible to get hurt doing it…me and my friends’ bruises and injuries almost always came from being in the mosh pit…remember friends, in the United States, no one pays your hospital bills but you, so think about that before you jump in the pit
When I would headbang at shows in the mid to late 90s my neck would be worthless for a week. I've gotten in fights and hardcore shows where we called moshing dancing like at shows from hatebreed walls of Jericho earth crisis 7 angels 7 plagues....I'd be hurt for 2 weeks
