These are wonderful, Gabe. Can't wait for the next installment. My daughter (now age 22) has been obsessed with Georgia since we met a Georgian couple at a party about ten years ago, and I cooked her a whole Georgian feast for her birthday that year (kinkhali, kachapuri, and lots of dishes made with walnuts, garlic and pomegranates). We haven't made it there (we almost did this summer but the Ukraine issue made us choose Slovenia and Croatia instead) but have long wanted to. Kudos to you for driving there (I've heard that Georgian drivers are more reckless than most). Can't wait to see you in the Caucasus mountains, whether in Svaneti or Tusheti (or both).

Look at that monastery, it kind of felt like even the ancient stones have their own Netflix special with the view surrounding the monastery. And it felt like the tranquility is so palpable that even your inner Zen master goes on vacation, and 'holy silence' feels like it's whispering its secrets to you. Can't wait for my dart lets me travel to places like this one.

Hi Gabriel, it doesn't get any stranger, the monument was just massively impressive like a cross on all sides held up with pillars just unreal. I will say that some places are not for visitors, there are certain people who want things to remain undisclosed, and they refuse attention. I'm guessing you're going to go to Armenia next where you will see what is usually considered the first cathedral built in ancient Armenia and is often regarded as the oldest cathedral in the world Etchmiadzin Cathedral. The locations you stopped in were very impressive, just beautiful.

Pretty much all of them made a video about the same trip on the very same route as Gabriel to the Russian border. Therefore I am starting to know north Georgia better than my country... Brutalist style monument! Amazing.. sometimes when you are on an incline that's steep and if you have under a quarter tank of gas the fuel line might struggle to pull up the gas. As soon as you hit level ground it fixes itself the gas now is able to reach the fuel line pump and boom car starts.

Bands like "Windhand" and "Electric Wizard" are maybe better than Nirvana. The music is. Kurt was funny though. Layne Stanley grew up a school over from me.

A must in medieval Sweden is Visby with all of it's medieval monastery and church ruins, the walled city of Visby is a UNESCO world heritage site. Linköping is an average Swedish mid sized city that I don't think should be very remarkable, but for sure visit the Vadstena Monastery, Vadstena is the home of Saint Bridget. Have fun on your trip and I highly recommend Visby!

04:05 Modern wonders of the world? Bit overdoing it there perhaps. I dont like it. It reminds me a lot of the Christian-Totalitairian art in Spain from the Franco era, like The Valley of the Fallen. Its impressive sure, thats actually the point of it, to the extent it becomes intimidating and oppressive.

I think it's a lot more interesting and impressive than the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio, which was voted one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. But in fairness, it pales in comparison to all of the other ones.

Btw u smell any good kush on that street filled with bars and graffiti? I'm from Oregon. I'm not leaving unless the weed is cheap. I just paid 45$ for a ounce of indoor hydro. The prices in Oregon are getting out of control. 100mg gummies for 4$ now.
