The horse looked like it was getting in the mood to either dance or trot off for a moment. Obviously inspired by his musician owner.

No wonder Erice was busy, those views from the top were exquisite. I think the horse had heard that song once too many times 😁

That horse was either dancing. Or. Ready. To go. That. Was great. The song was for you. His new American friend. 😅💜🌷💜

The photo from 26:18 to 26:28 represents the fresco painting called "The School of Athens" which can be found in the Vatican on your way to the Sistine Chapel. It depicts Plato, Aristotle and a tired Michelangelo on the bottom stair.

Diogenes is also depicted spread across the stairs.

I was utterly charmed by your spontaneous encounter with the guy and his horse cart. I think Sicily offers the best pastries in the world, outdoing France, Portugal, Germany or anywhere else.

My father was one of the physics professors that attended and lectured at the science school......loved that you showed that.

Sicily is a very very special island that you need to revisit again with more time. Everything south of Naples is Magna Grecia. There are many villages in Central Sicily still speak Greek. Syracuse will blow your mind! When the Romans were invaded by the German tribes, many Romans fled and assimilated with the Greeks of Magna Grecia. Sicily reminds me of Greece as it should. What you probably are unaware is that during the Mussolini era, the Greeks were persecuted in a form of ethnic catharsis. Later when he decided to invade Greece he used the Greeks of Magna Grecia which would not fight against their brothers. In fact these Greeks of Magna Grecia helped the Allied Forces of WWII to invade; they paved the road for them. The mafia is due to this poor south/rich north you see in Italy. Rich north by German Romans and poor south by Greek Romans. Make an effort to revisit Sicily. Amazing island!

Hey Gabe, thanks a lot for this inspiring video that immediately ignites my wanderlust. Next year, I'll embark on a journey from Germany to Italy on foot, including a visit to Sicily. I can hardly wait and am looking forward to it like a kid in a candy store. I'm especially excited about the sweet Italian breakfast in the morning. I will definitely indulge in some Cannoli and Cornetto. Hallelujah for that. Keep up the great work. I've been watching your videos for years and keep coming back. Greetings from Germany.

Hi Gabriel, Erice was a small-town gem considered to be one of the most beautiful villages in Sicily. It's hard to travel when on a time limit to leave so I'm guessing you will make the trip back when you get a chance, there is still much to see It's also difficult to enjoy when you have days left to enjoy traveling around these beautiful places.

Gabriel , Before I even watch your video , I have to tell you about a video I just saw on the Weather Channel ! It was about a happening at Jasper National Park ! I have heard you mention it so many times ! A bull Elk during the rut season was attacking a car ! The cars were stopped on the road in the park , and the Bull chose that car to attack ! So glad you had a video to tell you . Guess you’ve seen that scenario many times back when you worked at the park ! Now, on with you video 😎

Beauty insel to visit. There's another city there in Sicily. Syracusa where Saint Lucia was born and she was chased and killed and had her eyes gouged out by soldiers of the Dioclessian emperor. Her body was stolen by the Turks, and the Venetians brought it back to Italy. Another Catholic martyr is currently in Venice in Saint Mark's Cathedral. The Venetians really wanted religious tourism and the money from it in Venice since there was no way to do agriculture there.

Sicily seems to me much more destroyed and underdeveloped. Many people who visit it are disappointed.Greece is in a much better condition, even though it is fragmented with many islands. As far as potential, Sicily looks bad to me.It's stupid to visit a museum and not say anything about Ettore Majorana. But ok.It happens....His story is intriguing and a mystery...I also don't understand that in Tonnara di Scopello you didn't go down to the sea where the most famous part of that place is located.
