In the course of this video, I really started to believe that Azerbaijan is like a warmer version of Iceland - lots of fire everywhere. Nice tour, nice guide and very interesting video, chapeau.
Excellent series! I never really considered Azerbaijan as a destination and many vlogs only show the modern part of Baku... but there's so much more to see, looking forward to the next video(s) to learn more ...and one more country added to my wishlist!🤩
It’s been such an interesting discovery and I love the music you ve put on this serie it adds to the vibes! Really enjoying this! Thank you 🙏🏼 Sabrina 🇫🇷🇬🇧
I loved this tour! Interesting and informative, with a great mix of history, mysterious landscapes, petroglyphs and natural fire phenomena. Thanks for showing this interesting part of Azerbaijan, would love to see this! ❤
What an awesome tour and the guide. He was very kind very knowledgeable!! Luv the new shoes. Great price for those shoes!! This place is filled with natural gas and oil …..producing a natural fire at random how crazy is that?? Amazing 😀🦋🦋💙
Something about WW2 history to Baku. Have you ever heard about the battle of stalingrad? The bloodiest battle in world history with over 2 mio death in six month. The german troops have to take stalingrad on their way the baku to took over the oil fields because germany also needs the oil resource. German troops also reach georgia but never azerbaijan. So the story with the german bombers is true because the germans troops came 300miles near to baku. Very impressive when you think the normal soldier almost walked the most of the time.
Usually I watch your videos to see new places and get travel ideas. But just as cool it is to see again the places where we've aleady been to, like this Yanar Dagh gas fire and the mud volcanos. We took a Lada taxi and asked the driver to show the mud volcanos.. well, he didn't know where to find them but accepted the challenge and in the end we found some :)
Gab, that looked a fascinating tour of some the best bits of Azerbaijan history and culture. would you recommend it and do you think it was worth the price you paid for what you got in return. Baku looks an amazing city of old and new cleverly combined.
Atashgah Fire Temple in baku which said to be 8500 years old built by Indians. it has Sanskrit inscription on it. Sanskrit was the mother of most Indian languages. it was the main language of India before British rule.
Hi Gabriel, that burning gas in the land of fire is reminiscent of a town in Pennsylvania called Centralia that has been on fire since 1962 just incredible. You also mentioned the city of Baku Is called the windy city you know there are two cities in America that I consider the windy city and that's Chicago of course which most people know of but the unknown one is a city by the Bay, San Francisco. Mark Twain is quoted saying " The coldest winter ever spent was a summer in San Francisco ".
Awesome tour, would have been great to have a one on one with that guide. Just for the knowledge and stories of WW11 and other history I think not many cared. Sad Cheers Gabriel
This has to be on my bucket-list ,Azerbaijan for `24...thank you for this video ,Gabs fya Operation Fall Blau in 1942 ,was initially to capture the Baku oilfields for their war effort ,when that failed then try and deny the Soviets (CCCP) those resources
You used traditional music of Arab culture and the Middle East as the title music in all your videos about Azerbaijan, this is not true. Azerbaijan is not a Middle Eastern or Arab country, you could have used music that reflects many traditional Azerbaijani cultures, please note.
he did mention 'a lot of hiking, northeast of baku', it may very likely be ulaanbaatar gabriel will land in next, wouldn't be surprised, let's wait and see...
Don't worry, Azerbaijan is nowhere near Israel, and they are great friends with Israel also. This is a completely different region on the edge of Europe.
@@chestermosburger3113 That's basically over since Azerbaijan took over and the Armenians are leaving. Also it's a long way from Baku and the main tourist destinations. So it shouldn't be an issue at all for travelers.
Wow, I don't hear trembling voice when you pronouns Soviet Union. Getting tough. If follow my rout near fifty years ago you shoud take ferry from Baku to Krasnovodsk. Then go to deserts and mountains near Nebit-Dag. From March to May, or June, deserts covered by red flowers. And mountains look magnificent. Probably turkmens organized tourist routs there.

I always like these vid Gab, but when he said that these carvings are 27000 years old that is not true. Mankind was only this earth for over a little more than 6000 years. Fact from the Holy Bible.
Not everything should be related to religions. According to archeology, the earliest record of humankind is 2.6 million years old. It is not the holy books which determine the age of ancient things. I mean it is true that those carvings are around 27000 years old. You can google it
Baku is a super safe city, much safer than any major city in the US. This also applies to the rest of Azerbaijan, clean, modern and safe. The Caucasus is a very underrated region, and it's not in the Middle East but is located between Eastern Europe and West Asia, totally different.
People leaving a country voluntarily, despite being offered citizenship, is not an "ethnic cleansing". What is ethnic cleansing however is the forced displacement of literally hundreds of thousand of Azerbaijani Muslims from Armenia and areas in and surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh in the 1990's, by Armenia with the assistance of Russia, the very same Russia who now does the same thing with Ukrainians! And in some cases like Khojaly and other villages, genocide. Azerbaijan is not entirely without faults either but lets not pretend Armenia was totally innocent.

Great to see you travelling my son and I following you keep💯% going 👍
This is only half part of Azerbaijan the greatest part of Azerbaijan southern part not discovered yet
Maybe this is where man discovered fire.

The fire looks cool ! Thanks Gabe
You are lucky to have a great guide. Hope you tiped him. $$$😊
That "Lada" car seems to be pretty well maintained. No rust or scratch.
Atashgah Fire Temple in baku which said to be 8500 years old built by Indians. it has Sanskrit inscription on it. Sanskrit was the mother of most Indian languages. it was the main language of India before British rule.
No. Sanskrit hasn't been spoken as an informal everyday language for many centuries, well before the British.
No, it was built in the 17th century as said in the video.
original Temple is said to be 8500 years old. Temple has been rebuilt many times after that. last time it was built in 17th century.
@@mihir1405 Thanks for information!
It was not built by indians, where did you take that from?
Look up Eternal Flame Falls, a waterfall with natural gas flame beneath it near Buffalo, New York!
Great tour guide very informative. Cheers.
Omg increible country, that volcano is really something else, i just dont understand why so many countries including this one are so unknown 🤔

Hi Gabe is this tour you took by the girl you met a few videos ago?? what tour would this be and can older people go there with walking issues?
Yes, I booked it with the company that the girl worked for, AZP travel. It was the Yanar Dag tour and there was very little walking.

I was wondering Gabriel if never had problems with bed bugs After so many years of hotel rooms changing?
Never experienced them, amazingly.
Do they have beach towns and swimming in Azerbaijan or is the sea too cold?
They have beach towns at the Caspian Sea in Azerbaijan, warm enough for swimming in summer.
Yes, they do. There are a lot of beach in Baku
There are beaches along the shoreline up north as well
Feel bad that you can’t go to other parts of Azerbaijan
Hi there. We plan to visit Azerbaijan on the 18th this month. Is it safe there? With the ongoing conflict in Israel. Do let me know. Thank you
Yes, perfectly safe right now.
Don't worry, Azerbaijan is nowhere near Israel, and they are great friends with Israel also. This is a completely different region on the edge of Europe.
