I am a rookie using LinkedIn and much difficult how to find right people that I am looking for. Your guide is very much helpful and confident that I also can do that. thank you so much and appreciated
Yes I looked for 30 minute to find this video. The best way of searching. This video should be on top. People dont know what is Boolean search at all. I wish your content should reach more people.
I'm not native speaker and sometimes I'm struggling with hearing what native speakers say but your pronouncing is so clear and easy to hear! Thank you so much for the informative video ❤
Just seen the last part of your training video which answers my original question Vendy. With experience you can use the filters with the Boolean searches to hone done and refine your searches further. Very clearly delivered training video . Thanks
This video has so much helpful information! I now know I have been doing this all wrong by not using upper case letters 🤦♀️ There are a few other tips in this video I didn't know. Thank you so much 😁
What type of a date range are you looking to apply for profiles? 🙂 There are many more filters available in Sales Navigator: th-cam.com/video/upNFewmKAHU/w-d-xo.html
Hi Vendy. Thank you for the video. As always is awesome!!! Quick note here: @13:40 there is no link for your sales navigator video. I would love to watch it. Thank you and greetings from Greece!
Great video, Vendy! Boolean search is a very powerful tool indeed. P.S. If you are reading this then yes I am the same Peter who said about "the eye and eyeball thing" in the reply to one of your emails 😂
Awesome presentation, easy to follow and practice. May i ask, how about if I want more than one criteria not to be returned e.g. vp or director NOT Assistant NOT Associate? Would that be a correct search criteria?
Awesome, I need some help from you , I am new to linkedin and I am working as US Healthcare recruiter, and I want to search profile and connect with them . Plz suggest ...
Hi Vendy...thanks for your video! I am wondering if you would be able to explain to me why I seem to continually have an issue while using AND in my searches. Ex.- I have entered digital AND content in my search. I am getting included profile results that only have the word content, and do not include the term digital as well. This happens to me constantly when I search using AND, I get results that include only one of the words I need. Thanks in advance!
Hey Stacey - your search is correct, so what's most likely happening is that the word "digital" is hiding somewhere on the profile. Take a closer look at the skills section, experience section or recommendations. I often find keywords hiding there 🙂
I have a really important question for this: if I wanted to search for a person on Linkedin with CEO position, but only at his current company. Not CEO at an old company. How would I do it with boolean string? Please help.
This is where you want to play around with filters. There are some available in the free plan and many others in Sales Navigator: th-cam.com/video/GpdurMlyhMM/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for the video Vendy, it was super helpful. One question I have though. I’m trying to use this to search through posts to find leads for my role, I’m a BDM for a manager tech company in the UK. My search is - recommend AND (voip OR telecoms OR telephony OR “IT support” OR “business mobile”) For some reason I’m getting posts with just support or mobile but not the exact phrase of IT support. Why might this be? Thanks in advance 😊
The search is correct superstar and I'm sure the "IT support" people are somewhere on page 10 (or page 50) 😉 If you want to specially see the IT peeps, just shorten your search to -> recommend AND “IT support” and then will show ✌️
(CEO OR COO OR Owner OR Founder OR Co-founder OR Partner) AND ("Health care" OR Clinic OR Hospital) AND Florida NOT ("HR Business Partner" OR "Human Resources Business Partner") From above search query why I am gettting all HR Business Partners in results where I wanted to avoid them! Please help.
Such an AWESOME video Vendy! I didn't know HOW to do Boolean searches so this was super helpful! One question - I'm currently on the free plan but my boolean search gave me lots of results, but I can't connect with them. Do I need to be on the paid plan, or do they need to be in my 2nd/3rd network somehow? (I don't have many followers yet as I'm just dipping my toe in to LinkedIn!) x 😘
Awesome, I'm so glad you gave this a go!!🔥 If you cannot connect with people, it's probably because they are outside your 3rd degree connections - check out this video where I explain this into more detail: th-cam.com/video/AOfzcIUKY6k/w-d-xo.html
Before this video I watched this video th-cam.com/video/lB6cluKUJPk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=6JKXECAHjJxdxfVZ and I can surely say that this is more comprehensive and more better video. I want to know that is there any other Boolean terms or these are the only five terms which are there?

You can apply these filters in Sales Navigator, here's a quick video on that: th-cam.com/video/upNFewmKAHU/w-d-xo.html
Great video, Vendy! Boolean search is a very powerful tool indeed.

Hi, I tried with:
front end OR react NOT(Angular) NOT(java OR Java) NOT(python OR Python)
But those that I excluded still appear on the search.
That's too many "NOT" operators 😊 Try this:
("front end" OR react) NOT ("Angular java" OR Java OR python)
Thank you.
You're very welcome 🙂
Awesome presentation, easy to follow and practice. May i ask, how about if I want more than one criteria not to be returned e.g. vp or director NOT Assistant NOT Associate? Would that be a correct search criteria?
Great question Steven!! 💪 You would say: NOT (assistant OR associate)
Thankyou ❤❤😊🎉
Do these operators work the same in google?
Yes sir!!
Thank you Vendy, I can tell by your accent that you have spent a year or two in the UK, am I correct?
Haha ya more like 10 years 😄
Thanks Vendy

Hey Malik - use Boolen Operators and then refine your search by posts 😉
