As a young guy living in canada I feel you, in the winter months I got to content myself and only smoke small cigars. I'll definitely build a lounge once I get a house, amazing build btw!
I enclosed my porch and i installed 2 bathroom vents, that was not clearing enough CFMs, So I purchased a 10 inch AC infinity inline fan pulling 1200 CFMs. it works amazing!! your room and fireplace rock!! nice work brother!
Love it. Since we moved I've been missing the hell out of the lounge I did at the old house. This past winter sucked, trying to smoke in our cold garage. smh I'm not doing that next winter! I'll be building out another lounge.
Beautiful lounge! I’m Watching this while smoking a cigar in my shed, with small 1500w space hater. It’s March 1 37fF3C… I’m building a new shed this spring with better ventilation and decore.
Bravo absolutely beautiful I’m just smoking out of my re purposes grow tent where my premium charcoal filter is scrubbing my air and you can smell anything at all which is great because my wife hates the smell
Man, you knocked it out of the park. Very nice personal lounge. I've considered buying a small outbuilding that I would finish out, add filtering, plus heat and air. The best I can come up with is about $8 Grand so I really like your idea. I just dont have a basement and I can't give up my garage. Enjoy it Boss. Very impressive.
Excellent build project ! In my younger years I opted for Dark Walnut paneling in my bedroom with one white wall. Never again. I could go for the wood to be finished in a Honey Oak which is a bit lighter in color but not Birch white, not in the Smoking Room. Add a small fridge to keep cold mixers and ice handy, a small bar with one’s favorite spirits and a top quality sound system. Quality time! What are you doing for makeup air into the basement?
Amazing room, currently really struggling understanding the ventilation system. So you put TWO fans; one at the front end and another on the back end of the duct? with each having 240 CFM, meaning you're "sucking" 480 CFM away from the room outside, correct? How about the fresh air supply? do you only rely on passive flow from under the door? thanks in advance!
I know this is 8 months too late but you also need a fan pulling fresh air in, In my case I used a fan connected to a flex duct that’s attached to the return box of my AC unit, it connects to a boot and grill inside the room
This is a great idea. Curious if there is a reason not to go all the way to the ceiling or was that so you could use plastic to help seal the room? I have a finished basement but am thinking I could do the same thing with a small area of it.
I have lots of pipes and hvac hanging down so I decided to just make a lower ceiling... I also thought it would be MUCH easier to contain the smoke if the room was a room within a room.
bravo 👏 always love the commitment one has to make to have a cigar lounge at home! 👌 i'll tell you it's so true that smoking cigars in less than ideal outdoor conditions not only can ruin the experience but truly does impact taste adversely as well.
Brilliant! I’m in Eastern PA, and I’m getting mighty tired of freezing outside. What a great solution this is. Any code issues with blocking the window in the basement?
Looks great! I'm curious, how noisy are those fans? I have a insulated, hvac'd man cave / office in my detached pole barn and there used to be a wood stove in it. I was considering using fans like that to exhaust cigar smoke out the old chimney, but I heard they were noisy.
I don't think they are noisy.... the air purifier is actually a bit louder than the exhaust fans.... you can easily have a conversation in the room with everything running
@@AdamRecommends Thnx... looks like you can fit 2-3 comfortably. I might do the same color and maybe squeeze in a bit more space. Thanks again for sharing!
Smoking in the cold is a bitch ! But my wife has a problem of me smoking when a tornado is on the ground, and moving away from the house by three or four miles. Women, go figure. Very cool room !!
Well said, "the experience is everything"!! The experience is a vital contribution to enjoyment of a nicely toasted stogie!!!
That's a gorgeous room, I'm jealous! I'm thinking of doing something similar but with a steampunk esthetic.
Absolutely stunning once you opened the door my jaw dropped. That is an amazing cigar lounge I would’ve put a tv in. Great job man.
Thank you very much!
Music no tv!
People watch tv too much as it is, he has a nice room for a gentleman to relax.
Absolutely killed it! Enjoy!
I got divorced and made my house a cigar lounge.
Congratulations on your freedom, brother!

I think that's the more expensive route 😂
@@NixonAngelo not in the long run, if I were still married I wouldn’t have 5000-6000 cigars!

I am a new cigar enthusiast and live in central Iowa, I too am faced with the same problems. We will be building one soon.

No hate on tents... just wanted a bit more!

I love it. ❤. I’m collecting ideas for my future cigar smoking room and humidor. Thanks for sharing.
Really nice job! I agree with another comment here, when you opened the door it was an oh my gosh moment.
Looks Great! Is there still negative suction? Do you have another vent which delivers fresh air?
Looks amazing! Enjoy
Excellent work, Western PA does suck but we have our cigars so...
Excellent mate! A nice turntable & quality surround sound to add the cherry on top. 🤌🏾
Great job dude!
I want one too! That’s so sweet!

I would have personally cleaned up the outside of it to make it a bit more visually appealing. But it looks awesome!!!
I started following you on the other channel but Omg I’m so surprised you’re cigar lover too!!!! Welcome to the wonderful cigar world my BOTL. 😉
Cigars for the win!

Great job bro 👍
What a great room! Amazing what you can do with $2000 & a little sweat equity. Wouldn’t take much more at all to add a mini-fridge, bar cabinet, & TV.
Totally agree!

Looks fantastically inviting
Well done. I recently did the same in my 3rd garage. Video to come soon
Is the plastic sufficient to isolate? I’d be concerned about rips over time-or am I overthinking it.
Dude, this is awesome! One day I’ll have someone build one for me, because I’m not as handy as you.
amazing! you probably don't want to keep your cigars over the fireplace so they don't dry out. otherwise great job, that ceiling looks awesome.
Looks like a fake fire no ?
@@turbofungus5001 No, he said for heat and while the place looks great it is a horrible place to keep the cigars.
Wow that looks great 👍
Dude, I would have guessed that the art work cost more than $2K! Excellent work.
😆... the artwork is dogs smoking cigars that i made with midjourney... lol...
You could have got a big canister to mount above the ceiling and use a better fan to suck out air. Build it like a grow room.
Ya, there are some things I could have done better for sure 👍
I’m so happy for you. It’s a great spot.

Great video. How about the door and floors? Did you have to seal them as well? Thanks.
I didn't... some leaks allow the air (that im exhausting) to be replaced
Amazing!
Does it hot in the summer? And how do you control the humidity?
I just built it... haven't dealt with any warm temps yet... I prefer to smoke outside in the summer anyway
It's a decompression chamber. I think I need one!
Bravo. Nice build my man
Thanks!
Would you be making any adjustments for the summer. But i love man nice work.
Ya... ill probably smoke outside a lot when the weather allows it!

Oh shoot... I didn't even think of code issues! 😕... there are 3 other windows in th basement so maybe its ok ?... lol 😆
Awesome! Now you just need to add a 2 channel stereo system in there.
I just use my laptop!
Love this build, great job 🔥

Great job!!!
Thanks!
Wait! Maybe I missed it, but what was the total cost of the build? Including materials & components ie air purifier and chairs etc.
I didn't keep very good track of my spending unfortunately but I would guess that it was around $2,000
Outstanding
is the door sealed? does smoke escape?
No, it isn't sealed and yes a little bit can escape the room... its not perfect but works decent
thats actually very nice
Awesome!
How tall is your finished ceiling? I want to do this but my basement ceiling (bottom of upstairs floor joists) is 6’10”
Finished ceiling height is only around 6'4"....
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks!!
