2016 Honda CBR500 I got flashed/Dyno tuned. Slip on exhaust, K&N air filter, the rest stock . Night and day difference. Smalls gains in HP, torque gains over entire range and fuel/air around 13.2 percent Bike puts down what it can make way quicker, is smoother and better throttle response It now starts up and sits at 2,500 revs before settling around 1,000 after its start up cycle. I'd recommend a tune/ecu flash..it opens up your bike to make all it can be. I'm happy with mine and bike sounds a bit more throaty to.
From what Ive learned in terms of research; coupling an ECU flash with a full exhaust kit is the best way to get the most performance. 2WDW has videos up with graphs of coupling the two and the most difference is seen in the 7-9k rev range (mid range) and if you wanted a few extra ponies in the top range, 9k+, you want to add the velocity stacks. I agree though, in terms of just having a commuter bike with no plans of tracks or twisties, aside from highway pulls.. you don' t really need the ECU flash. Even coupling the exhaust kit, with the stacks, with the flash.. its not needed for regular commuters. If youre looking for a good full exhaust that couples well with 2WDW flash look into the Leo Vince Factory S Full Exhaust Kit. My plan is to hit the trifecta because I plan to keep my 500 for a long while. Allegedly getting all 3 mods done can boost HP up to 10+.. more than enough for a casual rider like myself.
Yes this is all very true. Even with all those mods at once your not gonna feel much in the seat anyways. Just experimenting with this stuff just to see what it will do. Will be getting a full exhaust here soon to try it out.
@@SethmotoXthats completely wrong you’ll definitely notice a difference with those mods ive done it on 2 bikes so far and every time it completely wakes up the bike and removes alot of the factory limitations they put on either for emissions or to chill the bike out responsiveness is off the charts compared to stock and at least on 600s it adds a ton of low end torque i haven’t done it to my aprila rsv4 yet so idk how itll react with that exactly
Lol we are talking about 2 completely different bikes. Had you watched the video what I said was "I can't speak for bigger bikes." Sure it makes sense it changes a bigger bike with all the Mods at once. This is just a 500 technically a 451 and theres not much to improve as far as performance. Yes the bike is a little more responsive now and as a little more juice on the top end. But it's not going to be all that noticable. The bike is still going to be a 451cc at the end of the day. I'm glad they helped your bikes out though.
@@SethmotoX I don’t think you realize it doesn’t matter if it’s a bigger bike or not your gonna notice a 10% gain in power according to dyno sheets a stock 500 with just a tune and no mods will gain 7% in power and with a full system, sprint filter and velocity stacks it shoots up to 13% it doesn’t matter what bike it is you WILL notice that difference you ain’t gonna break lap record but you’ll definitely notice and improve your PB plus like I said the responsiveness of the throttle will completely change with how manufacturers limit throttle inputs
LMAO I see you don't read comments either. Fair enough. Seeing the air box under that tank need to do some air box mods. If you’re not giving it more air with the more fuel / timing flash it won’t be noticeable.

Not sure on a modular. I run an LS2 Assault and I just go from GoPro mounted on chin if helmet and the plug 3.5 straight to media mod and run it under chin and into helmet and Velcro it in front of my mouth.
Engine breaking is the same. I didn't see much change in that category. As far as throttle it's a bit quicker to the touch but jerkyness is gonna go away with more time on the bike. At first I noticed that but then made adjustments and learned the throttle a little better and I don't get the jerkyness anymore.
@@SethmotoX I think you'll only feel the tune above 110mph on 6th gear, where the bike tends to lose power in the 9k+ RPM range out of the factory. Should make for an exciting 2nd and 3rd gear experience when giving full throttle on a long, straight road.

It is actually for the 400s. I could not find a tinted one for the 500 myself. But found this one and folks in comments were saying it will fit 500s as well and it did.
Incorrect. Resonator is installed in the slip-on. Couple reason I don't have all mods like velocity stacks don't do enough. Not even on paper. I also did not have a full system exhaust at the time. Will be getting full exhaust and retune and will give update soon.
@@SethmotoX I'm not an expert by any means but I installed AIS delete plates on my Ninja 1000 (with a slip on) and my R6 (full exhaust). Your unfortunately not going to get anything with a full exhaust either. From w slip on to a full exhaust your only get anywhere from 3-6 more HP which your not going to be able to tell while in the seat. Will be getting a full exhaust system just simply didn't get one prior to flash.

I've been riding with very high winds + rain etc (Melbourne, Aus.) and apart from being a little cold you will love the stability and handling of ninja 500 (no Oxford heated grips after 3hr labour quote)
I also haven't noticed any shake on the bike at any point. Very stable and planted to the ground.
What phone holder are you using?
Just a cheap tripod I found off amazon. Does the job fine.
My 400 ECU tune didn't really come alive until it had cat delete/headers...
That is certainly going to be my next mod.
@@SethmotoX Delkevic has a good product at a relatively low price!
My 400 made a huge difference with upgraded air filter and velocity stacks ! Although the stacks are setup for stock it's Night and day . I'm saving up for complete exhaust and ecu flash then I'll change stacks around for that and modify air box . From my understanding with that setup your looking at 10 plus bhp.
What tool set are you using?
Gearwrench toolkit.
Where did you get the tinted wind shield? I’ve looked all over but can’t find anything
It is actually for the 400s. I could not find a tinted one for the 500 myself. But found this one and folks in comments were saying it will fit 500s as well and it did.
Just get black plastidip and paint on inside I did and looks great
What mirrors are those? I’d like to get them for my 500 🙏
I have a video on mirrors and link to them on another one of my videos if you wanna check it out.
Do you know if the 400 fairings are the same as the 500? I want to order some custom fairings but only seeing 400
Yes the fairs for 400 are same as 500. The bike is basically identical to 400 just changes to engine.
@SethmotoX that's great news thanks bro! I asked the website and they never got back with me
@@SethmotoXThey are not the same fairings. They are different.
@@CrunchDramaNetworkThey are different fairings.
@@Zankiz thank you. The site got back with me and told me they are different. Guess that sucks 😆 🤣
Do you know shipping method they used?
Overnight threw FedEx I believe it was.
They are quick to get it flashed and sent back
whats the top speed brother ?
Honestly I haven't recorded a top speed on it yet. 118ish is what I'm seeing though from others.
what mirrors are those
Check out the other video I have on the mirrors. Link in the description for where I got them as well.
You did the flash with none of the mods they used in their videos 🫠 also sounds like the slip on isn’t baffled which hurts power on these
Incorrect. Resonator is installed in the slip-on. Couple reason I don't have all mods like velocity stacks don't do enough. Not even on paper. I also did not have a full system exhaust at the time. Will be getting full exhaust and retune and will give update soon.
Is the AIS blocked off?
It is not. Once I buy a full exhaust system I will block AIS and have it tuned once again.
@@SethmotoX I'm not an expert by any means but I installed AIS delete plates on my Ninja 1000 (with a slip on) and my R6 (full exhaust). I stuffed a couple of marbles in my CB1000 AIS and all of them stopped the decel pop.
All bikes are different in some way but it may be worth the cost of a couple of marbles to give it a shot.
if you block it off and you still have your catalytic converter you will burn it up, so leave it alone until you get a full exhaust.
Yes this is why it is still on at the moment and will block them off at a later date once I install full exhaust system.
Why not just trade the bike in for an inline 4 600cc instead of ecu flashing a 500?🤔
And pay over double for the 6r then what your gonna pay for the 500. If I had that money I would've went ahead and bought the 6r.
@@SethmotoX Correct analysis. Plus the insurance on inline 4 supersport is insane.
Because you can track the 500 and if dropped not feel bad compared to a 600cc inline 4
Dude, you’re not gonna get any real results without putting a full exhaust system on too the flip one is purely for sound
Your unfortunately not going to get anything with a full exhaust either. From w slip on to a full exhaust your only get anywhere from 3-6 more HP which your not going to be able to tell while in the seat. Will be getting a full exhaust system just simply didn't get one prior to flash.
@@SethmotoX well you’re gonna have to get it flashed again then because your air fuel ratio definitely gonna be different with the full exhaust system
@@SethmotoX and you’re right it’s only about a 5 hp increase but you’re also losing about 11 pounds worth of exhaust parts. You don’t need. It’s all the little things that add up bro but you’re right it’s only a 500. It’s not a liter bike.
Yeah if I get a liter bike I would do it 100% but I was simply just trying to wake this little guy up is all.
@@SethmotoX same bro that’s why I watch the video. I’m ordering the full exhaust tomorrow and sending my flash to two wheel. Dino works on Monday.
Makes no sense should have just bought a 600 cc
Sure you got double the money to lend me. I didn't think so either. If I had that kind of money I would've just bought the 6r. Lol
go ahead and get that 600cc. I’m sure you will have fun paying for insurance or dads gonna have fun paying insurance
The 500 is so light it is quite fun
Not everyone wants, needs or can afford a 600cc.
Not everyone wants to shoot down the highway like a missile lol @ 160 mph
Funny how you got down behind the wind screen and didn’t go anywhere, 500’s suck
Well considering it's an entry level bike what did you expect? You don't really need anything more than that for the street.
I just lowered my head a little so my center of gravity was forward under acceleration. Also wasn't even full throttle. Bike is super quick just not fast.
