No word about an R5 among Yamaha's 2025 line-up, so I willl most likely be buying my own Ninja 500 SE come spring next year. :) Only minus is that because of the crazy registration taxes on motorvehicles here in Denmark, all the SE goodies like higher windscreen, frame sliders and USB-C port are all optional extras, that I will have to purchase seperately...
As a beginner rider I have a question to some of the taller/heavier riders, so I'm 5'11 240 pounds give or take, would this be a good starter bike for someone of my size? If not what would be ??
Go to a dealership and sit on the bike / try it out, that’s the best advice. I’m 6’2 , 220lbs and it was really damn comfy when I tried this bike. But it could be different for you
Yes. Being honest those planning on upgrading 500's should've bought the 650 to start with. Personally I love the 40th anniversary scheme and was literally why I purchased every 40th I could
I like its looks and that its not crazy expensive, feels good at highway speeds? Considering it for my first bike, also Im 5’5”, am I too short for it?
I’m 5’5” and pretty comfy with it. I don’t flat foot my N500 but I can touch most of both feet, enough to back into parking spaces. Picks up great and feels good at highway speeds, you just won’t win any races against big bikes
U def wouldn’t regret buying this bike. The seat is easy for people on the shorter side to still be able to touch the pavement while still being comfortable for taller people. But all in all it’s an excellent first bike or even an excellent bike for veterans.
If you are referring to the key-less system, no. The rider has to carry a transceiver in his/her pocket, and the ignition will only turn on when that transceiver is like half a meter from the bike.
He has to be breaking in. Speed wise she is almost as fast as the zx4rr (not in acceleration but top speed). Although some bikes are slower eg my crf330l done 154/155kmh yet others struggled to get anywhere near my speed then my Grom was slower than others on TH-cam. So who knows why
It’s not a seatbelt. It’s a tether for his airbag system. If he’s ejected from the bike and the tether disconnects, his airbag vest will deploy, protecting his chest, back, shoulders, and neck.
Not everyone is coordinated enough for motorcycles let alone cars. Problem is people like this continue to drive and do what they want. Some people also cause motorcycle accidents in their cars so I can understand why you don't like bikes. It can be scary with some of the idiots on our roads
Hopefully you are still enjoying your bike. What a difference a fortnight made. I went from no bikes to 3. Living my dreams now
bro dropped 3 bands in 14 days 😂 good on you keep hustling

I’m 6’0 215 , went in looking for a Yamaha but the ninja just felt way more comfortable, like the other guy said, go to a dealer and sit on them
Do they still make the 650? Seems like the small displacement entry level is getting closer and closer to the 650

I’m thinking abt getting one of these in a begginer rider is it hard to learn
Nah, super easy
Shattered sold out here. No 40th anniversary SE for me
Come to Korea my green bebe
wait ppl can steal the bike then no?

Motherfking camera angle 😂
How much fokkkking top speed? Can he go 200 kph?
So far 180kmh but was heavy winds. I'd say not much more though
I don’t want to ride one because I feel I like I am going to fall and that is the worst part of it I rather be in a car or driving a car it’s better

It can go 200KM/hs someone tested it..
Mine does 180kmh (extreme winds but I don't think much left) Also Euro 5 version 45hp not the 51hp
I bet this speedometer on board counts miles/h not km/h
Does everything have to go fast?
That improvised seatbelt is a very bad idea.

And the motorcycles 🏍️ should have 4 wheels
