Can you please do an expensive VLAN and Firewall rules tutorial in layman terms for us home users. Many thanks

33:30 Maybe i am missunderstanding something, but wouldn't it make more sense, to leave the Network isolation option ticked (when creating the Network) and then you just have to create an Allow rule? Why untick it and then doing block rules anyway?

So much is covered, yet Traffic control is mostly ignored. Traffic control is the most important feature for me in deciding to purchase such a router. Can traffic control be enabled for a specific VLAN and/or a specific port?

Hai Synology thank you for sharing. Will this router come to india. Also it would be great if these kind of router have SFP / GPON ports for fiber connection. now days our ISP have fiber connection were we need to use another wifi / a optical to lan converter with different brands make it t difficult to manage it. Hope you all look in the market and introduce new products

Hi! Under Network>Internet>Primary Interface>Set As Default Gateway, you have yours as disable, I have mine as enabled. Which one is correct as it is my primary router with my ISP router in modem mode and I don't want to get anything wrong or leave my network vulnerable.
    Many thanks

I want to use this router in AP mode with VLAN tagging for my MAIN, GUEST, and IOT wireless networks, VLAN and firewall config will be done within my 3rd party router, will this product support my needs?

There is no more Cloud Station (= Synology Drive) with rt6600ax which was very useful from previous model rt2200ac. No reviewers mentioned about it.

I want to put the Router first. How do I connect it to the fiber cable?

Hi! Under Network>Status>IP4>Connected> IP Address, yours seems to have a LAN IP, where as mine has my External IP. Which is correct?
I ask for the security of my router.

Can you install the DNS server app like you can on the normal Synology Nas ?

I really, really do not understand why you wouldn't put 2x or more 2.5Gbps ports... For those who have muti-gig internet + a fast NAS they ahve to choose or buy another switch.

Hello... I have a concern about making ipv6 work on this router... I mention that the ISP assigned me a native address (the connection is made via PPPoE).... I tried all the options to make it work and I didn't succeed, but I still succeeded with 6to4, which doesn't delight me. Is there any option to go in Native mode or is it a system problem? Thank you in advance.

Smart Wan Tab not showing, how do I sort this out?

Thks, Cody, I dos plan to get your cool router (partly for geek bragging-right too).
However one tingy/ting criticism though. The super-slow 3.1 USB transfer speed is tooooooo darn slow (ex: typical USB2.0 transfer speeds).
And yes, I will eventually get a DS923+. But it would have been nice to put a USBHD on that router & access it at the typical 3.1 USB transfer speeds (conspiracy theory anyone ;).

why did you remove wireless repeater mode (WDS), why removing secondary USB port??? With you guys, it's always one step forward and two steps back.
Furthermore on your website you stated that no USB 4G dongles are supported any more, so we must use mobile phones for tethering or what?
That's why I am postponing upgrading from RT2600 to RT6600 since May or June. Disappointed.
