I've used this radial drill to do quite a bit of boring, especially before I got my horizontal mill. This particular drill came with the boring option that was available from the factory. It's just a lever and when you move it from 'drilling' to 'boring' it cuts the feeds by a factor of four. It gives as low as .001" per rev which can give a pretty nice surface finish.
That's a nice setup, even with a ready-installed chip catcher underneath! Very cool.
Nice one Ken . You have a good radial drill there .
just luv the radial arm drill unit…..nice
I was hoping to see the Horizontal all set up but you work with what ya got.
Set up looked great, no chatter heard.
Looking forward to the HBM..
Looks to be cutting well
good job
My ATW Radial is like that!
Hey could you show a kinda how to on setting up to bore with the radial arm drill there’s no good videos on it
sounds nice
Before I read the discription I was like that looks like the radial arms at work.
Inventive to say the least using a RAD to do the boring.

Well, that's something you don't see every day.
Wow that's boring :)
