- Why is PEACEFUL by Small and Zylenox NOT RATED?!
Everyone in the Geometry Dash community has seen this new Scary Geometry Dash Level called Peaceful by Small and Zylenox. Many TH-camrs have already made videos on it such as Viprin, Nexus and Toshdeluxe. Peaceful has gotten a lot of attention recently but it has not been rated. Why has RobTop chosen to not rate this level? That is exactly what I will be discussing in today's video!

Honestly, when it comes to GD levels, they've stopped becoming a "I want to make a level good enough to get rated" and have now become a "I want to express myself." We've reached a point where the bar has become so high that GD levels have to basically be a work of art in order for it to get rated.

Turning on the Parental Controls only allows access to featured levels (including those in Gauntlets, Map Packs, etc).
This is why I don’t understand why levels like Peaceful can’t get a star-rate only; Star-rate only levels do not show up in any of the tabs that are accessible under Parental Controls.

What could also work was a symbol in the level (like the copied or high object count) but for horror/disturbing levels. I've commented it in Viprin's video but he didn't see it.

I think the real reason for why other scary levels are rated but not peaceful is because Peaceful is a jumpscare level.
By going into other levels like Triple Six and Wysteria, it doesn't start off all nice and for everyone, its meant to be scary the entire way through. But Peaceful deceives players by starting off kind then jumpscaring you with graphic imagery, which is honestly way more scary.

One thing you could've pointed out is that while the parental controls exist, they are located in the corner of a garbage dump.
For any parent wishing to enable them, they would have to first off locate the settings button, click on 'Options', scroll to the last page and then figure out to click a labeless button with the exact same icon as the user account button, and only then they would find the parental settings.
Which have no help dialog explaining to parents what any of the options mean.
So unless the parent is a hardcore dasher aswell or have gotten someone else to advice them, they will never figure out how to do it, and even if they do, their child would probably know about it first and just go deactivate the options at any time they wish.
Anyway really good video. You should do more commentaries (and also collab with me on them ;DDD) as this was really enjoyable to watch.

The reason why it's unrated is because:
It's a NONG level like Core and Checky by Kjackpot
I know that some NONG levels have been rated, but that's a 25% chance to get a rated NONG.

Robtop usually rates NONG levels that have newgrounds songs that sync to the level as a substitute. Thats why some NONG levels are rated

I feel like RobTop cant rate it without being at risk of losing the age rating, but also knows that's it's fine to keep it up on the servers without risking anything. Neither PEGI or ESRB can rate online interactions (I'm pretty sure at least), so they can't get mad at the game for having this level on it, because it was made by another player online. As soon as RobTop rates it though, it's as if he is making a part of his game himself, and that can be seen as not being an online interaction.
This is why I think that Peaceful cannot be rated, but can still stay on the servers.
That said, you've still got stuff like the yandere that kinda has theming centered around blood and gore and levels like bloodlust and killbot that are rated so idk how accurate that is?

I honestly didn’t know this existed in Geometry Dash😅. I found the song(Mopemope) on Muse Dash and I was more fascinated then scared. But now that I saw the Geometry Dash one, this person is really creative on how to use those realistic mouths and holes.

I'd say that the current situation is completely fine. RobTop is the only one who can rate levels and as long as he doesn't rate it the level doesn't have RobTop's approval. And if mods promote the level on their channels, it's their fault, not Rob's.
But your solution to the problem (for the expansion of parental control in the game and the warning sign before entering the level) is great and I 100% agree that it should be put into use.

there is a prental control thing that only will alow a player acsess to the featured tab. graphic content is alowed outside the rated levels but not in them

And the lag for the glitch to pure nightmare parts for peaceful makes it better as if your geometry dash character is glitching along with the level
And i am a kid and watch videos about it and not get nightmares i think the level is cool and to me it feels like going through a movie were stuff is ok but get a glimpse of what to happen but out of nowhere boom you get into all the action and it all goes back to normal after a while type movie

Bloodlust has been old news for years now, tbh. More levels harder than Bloodlust always show up, and there will be more levels that will be harder than the levels that beat Bloodlust's difficulty
At the end of the "options" menu, there is a parental controls setting that allows the disabling of commenting, reading comments, and playing unfeatured levels, so it may be better for Geometry Dash to leave the level unrated for that purpose, as children will not be able to see the level.

A filter is the best option for something like this. But that requires an update to the game, and we all know how Robtop is with updates...
Next vid, talk about some of Devin’s lvls eg. Red Rooms and why THAT hasn’t been deleted off the servers
Maybe Rob could implement a 13+ option when searching, and you have to activate it to find levels marked as 13+

If you go to the end of settings, there are parental controls that allow you to only see featured/epic levels. So not rating it can prevent younger players from seeing the level.
