Pat was the epicenter of the entire scandal and, presumably, the reason why it was so immediately suppressed was his proximity to Vince. Roddy Piper also strongly hinted at some sort of incident with Pat, early in his career that was obviously traumatic.
No, it was Lord Alfred Hayes that Piper eventually came out and said messed with him. He was doing it as a joke, but at the time, Piper didn't know any better and thought Alfred was a diddler. He wasn't. It was a rib. Piper later became close with Lord Alfred.
@@DevoJetBoy8680 Hmm, I watched Piper talk about in a shoot interview and it would be weird if he brought this up as a rib, given his apparent unease in talking about it. I could be wrong, however. Could these be separate incidents?
Nope. As below, Hayes, Garvin and Phillips were the epicenter. Patterson wasn't stupid enough and instead worked his pay to play scheme for his jollies.
No he was not. Pat Patterson was exonerated. Do some homework. He may have been gay, but he was no diddler. Pat was one of the most beloved and respected men in all of WWF/WWE history.
He says he knew about it, and it made him sick. But I guess it didn’t make him sick enough to report it to the police. Or to stop working for the company. Or to do anything to help those kids. Just made him sick enough to talk about it. 40 years later on a podcast
Work your ass off in said industry, make it into the biggest most well paid corporation, expect to give it all up because a couple of freaks on the side are exposed for doing crazy shit. Yeah you definitely haven’t stepped into the real world lol.
Lol jake roberts had his own demons to fight with & ur accusing him for not doing anything he would get fired & seeing his Alcohol problems he would struggle to work in other companies & get paid less ur just trying to give him more burden
Ever since the latest news about Vince McMahon came out, I can't help but wonder about Vince's involvement with the ring boy scandal. I always thought that it was really suspicious that Vince still kept Pat Patterson on his payroll even when his name was tied to that. This is why Jake left the WWF in 1992 after WrestleMania as Vince lied to him about Pat being gone and Jake getting his spot on the creative staff.
I don't understand why so many wrestlers knew about it, but didn't report it??? I saw another interview with Bret Hart where he said something to the effect, where he wanted to report it, but couldn't prove it was happening.
Nah ...im kinda thinking that Pat gets lumped in with them just because he's gay. Garvin and Phillips for sure but Vince would have to have been nuts to bring Pat back if he was involved with it.
I never found anything about Gorilla being fired. He took lesser roles because of his health until he died in 1999. As for Mel, there's a lot of murkiness. He was fired because of suspicions but was brought back. And some recent allegations are that the FBI ignored evidence against Mel despite of a video tape of an incident. With Terry and Pat, it's pretty crystal clear with the stories involving them. With Mel, there's some weirdness going on with his stuff. But the allegations about him have been consistent as well.

Come on Jake. Pat was the main one.

Jake's oblivious to everything
@@donjohn2695 At the time he probably was.
@ringspan2731 There is so much allegations against Patterson its not even a joke, that guy was scum

What do you except, would you get fired over someone else's misfortunes, doesn't exempt Patterson for what he did though.
He was fried the whole time…imma give him a pass
Patterson didn't do shit. He was the casting couch guy who wrestlers would sell themselves too.

Why didn't you report it? Oh yeah money talks right

They were all perverts like epstein and dershowitz
They were 13 not 20. Do your research. It was my brother's lawsuit that got them fired. They were child molesters.

It was a big coverup by Vince for decades
No, he was exonerated. It was Terry Garvin and Mel Phillips. Pat Patterson was gay, but he was no damn pedophile!
@@johngallagher72 You nailed it.
@@donjohn2695 Vince covered nothing up. He fired Mel Phillips and Terry Garvin as soon as the truth came to light.
Does anyone know what Gorilla Monsoon did when he found Phillips toe suckin'? Is that when he got fired?

🤮
Why doesn't this guy know that the scandal wasn't just one kid? At least do basic research before you interview.
